Worth It
Spent: $500 in Raleigh, NC

Doctors who are Botox Platinum not only can give you $25.00 off a treatment, but they have more experience, so look for Platinum Botox. I have been getting Botox for more than 10 years for frown lines. Although I was hooked from the start I was often surprised to find that sometimes I had great results and other times not so great. I have learned that in some doctors are better injectors than others and that fresh Botox (reconstituted same day) is far better than day old or week old Botox. After moving to Raleigh, NC from San Diego I found a plastic surgeon who gives me great results from Botox every time. He only uses fresh Botox. I guess if they have any left over they give it to employees! So, for anyone who hasn't loved their Botox, keep trying.

I have also noticed that botox results vary from one facility to another. It worked good at one place, but not at another place that was advertising a special. I will stick with the facility that I had good results at, but am wondering how you look for a platinum botox doctor. Do you ask or is there a list somewhere?

I think the Allergan site has a list of all platinum doctors. You could also google " platinum botox raleigh " use the name of your city or a city close to you of course. I agree a special or a discount is not a great way to find a doctor to administer Botox. In this case, Allergan (the company that makes Botox) is the one who gives the doscount, not the doctor. I think they want to make sure that people get a good experience from Botox so that is their way of encouraging people to go and see the best docs.

I am in the Raleigh area and considering taking the Botox plunge. May I ask who your plastic surgeon is? Thanks much!

Hi, I had a Botox Emergency once and somewhat reluctantly agreed to have Dr. Law's nurse Jenny do my Botox injection. She's fantastic. In fact, she does my Botox and Juvederm most of the time just because of the schedule. She watched him for a year before she started hands on training and then he trained her by first doing injections on all the staff. As someone who has been getting Botox for a long time I have found Dr. Law's practice to be unique in the exceptional patient care they provide. They all are happy to see me each time I arrive and they will not hesitate to tell me when I don't need something. THAT is rare and something I truly appreciate.
