“Pixel laser resurfacing”

Pixel laser: Undecided

Cost: $250
Pain: Uncomfortable
Pixel laser satisfaction: Good3 Star Rating: Good

I just had my first pixel treatment today to treat some lip lines I'm starting to get! I'm 45 yrs. old. My doctor recommended 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart.

It was painful but tolerable. I only had it done above my mouth to treat the lip lines. Right after treatment the area was bright red and you could see the "grid" marks with some swelling. I tried putting makeup on it right away but you could see the grid marks. I've been putting the cream they gave me on it to keep the area moist. I would not go out in public looking like this.

Hopefully the redness will start to fade but not yet on first day. I'll keep you posted on healing in a week or so but it's too early to say if it was all worth it!

I just had my 2nd treatment done above my mouth to treat the lip lines on 2/27/09. The redness went away after a week from the first treatment. There wasn't a noticeable improvement after the first treatment but he said after the 2nd treatment you see better results. After a couple weeks since I've ahd the 2nd treatment I do see noticeable improvement and hopefully after the 3rd treatment, I will be done. I'm have ing the 3rd treatment in April, I'll keep you posted how that went!

Pixel c02 advice? I am going in to have the laser done in 2 weeks and am very unsure of which laser to get, for wrinkles under the eyes and mouth and for large pores, does anyone have any advice that has had this type of laser done?

Had my 4th Pixel done last Wed. I wanted to improve lines around my mouth and loose skin on my neck, has done no good at all. Wished I had put the money towards a facelift.

Does anyone know how the Pixel treatment works on acne scars? My 20 year old daughter wants to get it done for her acne scars. Also, where in the Twin Cities is a good place to go?
