6 days

I am 6 days from when I had coolsculpting performed. the nerve pain has been excruciating and I've taken two doses of the neurontin I was prescribed with absolutely no let up in pain. I haven't been able to sleep and last night was the absolute worst! I laid in bed from midnight to 5 am in complete and udder pain I had ice on the are which starts to let up the pain but it does little overall. I am praying and holding out that this pain goes away soon and the medicine works I don't know how much more I can take feeling this way at work and not getting sleep I've also had nausea and have not eaten much over the past few days. I am very swollen still but the minimal bruising I had is nearly gone. My skin itself is still numb but it feels deep inside where I am experiencing jabs of pain. I describe it as being stabbed with a knife and being electrocuted in a bunch of places across my abdominal area at one time.

I read alot of reviews before I came to the decision to get coolsculpting. I went for a consultation and was measures and told 2 applications at 1 session was best suited for me. They determine this by pinching your fat and measuring you with a curved plastic pieces that is like a replica of the actual coolsculpt machine. I set up the appointment and was still skeptical and a bit unsure. My appointment was 5 days ago. I went in and the prep time was less than a half hour they take before photographs at all angles and explain the procedure. Next they place a cold skin protectant pad on the area to be treated and prepare you for the application. I was extremely anxious as to what the actually machine would feel like and I did have my nerves on edge. The nurse explained that if she didn't get a good suction the first time she would try until she made good contact. Thankfully both of my applications I had good suction from the start. When the machine was placed on me the first time I was very shocked. It was much more painful than everyone let's on. I have an extremely high pain tolerance examples include sitting for 10 hours or more multiple times while being tattooed and breaking bones without even realizing it. So I was really going into the procedure thinking it was a cake walk. I was wrong in the first few minutes u felt like my body had gone into shock I became extremely shaky, light headed, dizzy, and nauseous. I was like this even after the cooling process began and I could no longer feel sensation in my skin. It wasn't until 30 min into the first application that I started to feel a little better. After the hour had passed the nurse came back in and removed the applicator and began to massage the area she did so for 2 min this was extremely uncomfortable and I felt like I might pass out the entire time. After she finished I took a quick pee break and mentally prepared myself to get the second applicator my left side done. The second time was not nearly as painful but still a noticeably uncomfortable..and the second massage was still has excruciating as the first one. The day of the procedure I felt pretty normal and same goes for the following 3 days. I had little to no pain it was mainly a soreness as they state like maybe doing too many situps at the gym. But when the 4th day came I received the talked about "late onset" and I've been miserable since. I have been unable to eat, ot sleep well no way of laying or sitting is comfortable it's a constant burn and discomfort with intervals of intense sharp stabs. I have also had diarrhea and nausea I assume is related to this. I feel very tired and weak and in general miserable. I followed up with the clinic and they advised they would call a prescription into the pharmacy for me that helps to alleviate nerve pain. It is neurontin an anti seizure medication. I take my first dose tonight before bed and I am hoping with all my heart that it works for me! I'll keep updated as things change for me. As of now still swollen and bruised slightly, no sign of if this was a successful procedure yet.
