“6 Weeks - 2 Days PO - LOVING MY NEW BODY!”
Spent: $15,000 in Pittsburgh, PA
In 2008, I lost 30lbs. and was in the best shape of my life, completely toned and weighed 107lbs. I got pregnant in the spring of 2009, gained 72lbs. during pregnancy and lost it withing 4 months after I gave birth to my son!
I now weigh 110 and have a lot of excess skin around my abdomen, my breasts have gone from C, to D, to B, to DD and now back to a C, which I think that's only because they sag so much. My wonderful husband said that since I never question what he buys and is always supportive that he would pay for me to be happy!
I weigh 110 and can't wear a bikini because if I bend over or move in an awkward position my skin hangs and it's really gross, and I don't want others to see that. We live along a river and go boating all the time so I am constantly covering up and hiding when people say I should be wearing a bikini I can't because they can't see what's underneath.
So excited to have the procedure done, it'll be on Sept. 27, 2011 - only 20 days away! Nerves are setting in, but I know it'll make me happy, I'll just be sad that I won't be able to care for my 20 month old son.

I just had my pre-op appointment last night! So glad to see the doctors and nurses again - they put all my questions and concerns at ease. I really like Dr. Lazzaro, he's so down to earth, extremely knowledgeable and treats me like a work of art and not just another patient!
I have a lot to do before the 27th. I have my lists of things I need and things to do. With my surgery, I get to massages the first two weeks after surgery and they're scheduled - so glad for that, everyone loves a massage!
My husband's birthday is the Friday before my surgery and I'm thinking since he was so amazing and paid for this for me, that I'll buy a spa package for him to relax during my surgery since it's also on site - he deserves it!
I'll keep you guys posted as the days approach!

Well, I'm a week away from my surgery!! SO EXCITING, YET SCARY!
So this is where I'm at: my husband thinks I'm going crazy, I'm huge on spending A LOT of time with my family right now!! My dad told me to relax, but I want to do as much with my son as I can, in case my recovery takes a while. So instead of watching the Steelers game with my husband yesterday, I took him to the Zoo and we had a blast!!
I feel like I did when I was pregnant - I'm nesting! Cleaned all of Ty's out door toys and put them away so that my husband won't have to worry about them. My house is decorated for Fall/Halloween!
So, this week I have a hair and nails appointment, my husband's birthday is Friday -big dinner with family - I even got him a 2 hour spa package to have done while he waits for me during my procedure!
So much to do - Keep me posted you guys!!! Can't wait to look great!

So I am 5 days pre op. and am getting nervous because I feel like I have lots to do but at the same time I haven't done much. My husband and family are amazing. They'll help out so much, my husband does the laundry all ready and is amazing with our son so I think the hardest part will not being able to do what I want with our son.
I'll clean house on Monday night, grocery shop tonight or Sunday so I'll be all set! At least I hope.
Updated on 23 Sep 2011:

Updated on 26 Sep 2011:
Tommorrow is the big day! I'm not really nervous at ALL! Just thinking of all the things that I want and have to do, but no jitters one bit!
I'll tell you what though, I think I've been a little anxious though, I put on like 3 pounds, I've probably been eating so I don't worry!
Hope everyone's surgeries go amazing this week! I will keep you all posted with the progress - must be there at 6 am tomorrow! So excited!
Updated on 28 Sep 2011:
PO - Day 1: The first evening went ok. Not sure I expected all of the pain and soreness, some people claimed they didn't have much but it eased as the hours went by. I had a private nurse with me for my every need, which was extremely releaving!
Ladies, make sure you eat. I didn't eat much other than pretzels and by 9 p.m. I had several dry heaves and let me tell you - they are painful so eat a little something, I had some easy mac - helped instantly!
PO - 2: Doctor came to visit me at 7 a.m. - he said the drains were doing fine and that everything still looked good and that he sees me bouncing back real soon! I hope so! Hubby drove me home in my Yukon - note to others, I found that my Yukon was easier to get into, with a step up than the transport Van was, which was a step down! I've been home since 8 a.m., found my steps to be a cinch, my hubby put steps at our bed that I used when I was pregnant so that was good. For me, positioning myself in bed is easier to be on my knees, crawl around on them but not with my hands down. Went to the bathroom by myself once today, I find that I can move around and stuff. I'll be bored tomorrow I'm sure. The "husband pillow" is working out great, the pillows my husband tried to prop me up with left me with a slight headache.
I get to see everything on Monday - that's exciting. The drains aren't bad as of yet. The compression garment feels like its digging into my hip bone but there's padding in there so not sure why it hurts. Doctor put more in this morning but it made it worse. Just must be sore!
Thank you for all the words of encouragement. I didn't tell many people but with the community of people on here I can be open with and have the support I need! All is well though, on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say my pain is at a 6. It's faint unless I do something drastic!
Love you all. Will post pictures when I can!

What can I do for the back pain?
Updated on 29 Sep 2011:
PO - 2nd Day: Well, I'm having a great day again. I even gave myself my own sponge bath, shaved my armpits and private area. I haven't worn underwear since I went it, it's been convenient. I walked outside a few times, sat on a bench and read the paper. Worked from home for an hour or so. But all in all doing well.
I'd say this: you'll be sore in the chest and abdominal areas. The best way to adjust is to utilize your legs for everything. To get on and off chairs or bed, I use my legs. You'll find that your chest may hurt if you use your arms too much since the breast augmentation! Heating pads will help for back pain.
I've been going longer and longer without the pain medicine - I can withstand pain though. My drains are only draining 1-3 cc's every 9 hours - that' looking good! They'll probably come out Monday! Hope all is well with everyone, will keep you posted and so nice to have all of you to talk to.

PO - Day 3: Well, I'm feeling pretty amazing. Just your expected soreness. Only took on pain pill since 6p.m. last night, and I only took it because I was afraid pain might sneak up on me, like a too good to be true thing.
Curled my hair, did my make up. Got dressed. Worked from home for a solid 2 hours. My drains are barely even putting anything out. Only one negative thing to say, I had a coughing bout - WOW! Do not cough when you have a tummy tuck, OMG - the pain in your abs!
I'm doing awesome though. I'm thinking of going out with my husband tomorrow to look for sports bras. My niece turns 2 today, she has a party on Sunday, I think I'll be able to go to that for sure.
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE RESULTS!
Updated on 1 Oct 2011:
PO - Day 4: Well, last night I went to Walmart with my 2 year old and hubby. We needed some things and I was getting cabin fever so it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My hubby is a lingerer and will buy unneccessary stuff so I had to keep him on track! Didn't hurt from it, just a little tired when we got home.
Finally slept in my own bed with hubby, slept very well. Our son got us up at 6:30 so by 8 I was bored and decided to give myself a bath, shave my legs and all that - NO PROBLEMS! My husband then washed my hair - he's amazing! I made us cajun chicken wraps for lunch w/ ff... . had to take a rest afterwards, but that's to be expected.
Pain level is probably at a 3. Drains are only putting out about .5-5 cc's every 8 hours. Was more after the Walmart trip.
My nippless a little sore, like from when I breast fed so I'm thinking its because they're healing now.
Can't wait to have these darn compression garments finally off. They're itchy! Went for an afternoon ride with my hubby and now going to dinner at my mom's which she's had the little one all afternoon. I told the Hubby to go out and have some drinks tonight, that he deserves it - plus, he'll have to watch the baby at my niece's party tomorrow so that'll be a lot too on him.
Great Recovery So far!!! Dr. Lazzaro is amazing, can't wait for results. 2 Days!!
Updated on 3 Oct 2011:
PO - Day 6: I had my first post op. appointment today!! SO GREAT! Drains came out, said I barely had any drainage. Stomach is super flat, but yet I have swelling so it'll be insanely flat, cant imagine. Breasts look great - still very swollen and one had dropped lower so it'll take a few weeks for them to be settled, but they look great. Belly Button, just as if it were there before, it's beautiful! Already has begun to heal, they're so impressed how great I've been doing and how my incisions are healing! So great! They said I'll see final results in 5 weeks to know how things will really look.
I have one picture, but I'll post more once I shower tonight and clean up more!
LOVE IT - BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE AND TODAY I FEEL LIKE I'VE NEVER EVEN HAD SURGERY!
Updated on 4 Oct 2011:
PO - Day 7: Everything is still going great and even way better since I'm moving about with no drains and stuff! I feel awesome. Last night I slept great, even slept on my side! Yesterday was the first day I didn't nap so it was wonderful to be able to just fall asleep, no pain pills yesterday either!!!
I took care of my son for a few hours this morning, it was a little rough but then my mom took him. My doctor showed me a way to pick my son up, it's made us both happy, he just hugged me for so long!! I love him.
Husband and I are so pleased, still get tired but all in all, I feel like a 10!!! No pain! I'm going to add some more pictures!
Updated on 7 Oct 2011:
PO - Day 10: So, a little bit has happened. After my sutures were taken out, on my left breast I've had some drainage, pain in my breast and it hurts to use my arm. My doctor had me come in immediately, they say that everything looks natural. I was a little apprehensive about this.
They gave me an antibiotic, Keflex. It's an antibiotic often used for people who just had surgery. I searched on Google for answers of what this could be and just to let you know, the best answers I could find were on here!!!
It's most likely just from when the sutures where taken out. The antibiotic will clear it up. This put me at ease. I see the doctor again on Monday, which will give the antibitioc plenty of time to take its course.
My stomach is healing great, as well as my breasts! Love it all. My breasts seem large to me, but they say it takes 6 weeks or more for the swelling to go down and I have to keep reminding myself that I'm only a week and a half from when I had the surgery.
Updated on 8 Oct 2011:
Feeling great since antibiotic. Just taking it easy. Keep wondering if my breasts are too big. Can someone tell me how much smaller I can expect them to get?
Updated on 11 Oct 2011:
PO - Day 14: So I'm two weeks out from the surgery, I'm feeling amazing, I feel like I can do anything I did before, but I keep telling myself not to. I'm back to work, work is fine, not bothering anything.
I can't remember who was having problems with their skin peeling or dry or itchy but I think I'm getting the same issue, can you tell me what to do?
Also, my Dr. is taking care of my infection, he makes me feel confident in that he's taking care of me in the very best way he can. The only thing that is a pain is driving back and forth to the office for him to check on it.
MY BODY LOOKS GREAT! I'll post pictures tonight or tomorrow!!! Love the results. Stomach is so flat - breasts are large. Still waiting for one to drop, doing exercises to help this!

I just want to say that I LOVE MY STOMACH!!!! It's what I wanted for a year and a half and it's everything I hoped for.... have to give my breasts some time, I'm hoping they get smaller and that takes time, but love them too!
Updated on 14 Oct 2011:
When in yesterday just to make sure everything was still ok, going great!! I can start to put some antibiotic/scarring ointment on in some places. They said I could cut my binder a little bit so it doesn't ride up to my breasts, WHAT A RELIEF! So glad I did this!!!
Updated on 24 Oct 2011:
Well it's almost been a month and I can say that I absolutely love my new body!! Would do it over again... never looking back!
The most amazing feeling was when I was trying on Halloween Costumes yesterday and put on a school girl outfit, which was a teeny tiny skirt and a shirt that tied right under my breasts, so the girls were up and out and my whole stomach was showing and when I showed my husband he about lost it! He couldn't believe that was my body, it turned him on so much... needless to say, he said I couldn't wear that out in public!
Dr. Lazarro did an amazing job! Healing just fine. Will update pictures soon!
I can't wait to work out, my legs and butt are so flabby from sitting around, need to get them up to speed with the rest of my body!
Updated on 30 Oct 2011:
Was so excited to dress up for Halloween this year - was so confident - something that I wasn't for a long time! Loving it!
Updated on 10 Nov 2011:
I haven't been on here in so long. This past Monday I started working out. I went on a 3 mile bike ride and did toning exercises. Wow, some core exercises that seemed so easy before is hard and one I can't do at all! But, we just working out 2 days this week so far I"ve noticed a little bit of a difference, can feel my abs getting stronger!
I believe I mentioned about my stitch abscess, which is when the absorbable suture under the skin occasionally causes a local reaction as it's being dissolved and may spit out. My doctor tended to this issue immediately and it wasn't anybody's fault except my body and I am now healing great. When you look at my pictures, on my left breast you'll see a dark area where the skin grew and is healing, I'd say in about a week or so it'll look normal again. I couldn't massage that breast because of the open skin area so my left breast hasn't dropped completely but it's almost there. Over all - they're looking great!
MY STOMACH IS AMAZING! The real reason behind my mommy makeover was for my excess skin and now I look like how I always wanted to and did before, but hidden by skin. MY DOCTOR IS AMAZING!

He was absolutley wonderful! The staff and he were very supportive, he made me feel like the delicate masterpiece he was perfecting, not just a $$ sign. He called me that evening, which I stayed in a suite at the Marriot with a private nurse to monitor me and take care of me - which I felt was a great idea. He then came to visit me at 7 a.m. to check on me - I just want to squeeze him he's so nice! Wonderful experience. Haven't seen my stomach, not until Monday but he claims it's as flat as a board and my chest, I can peak at it and they're full and up, not like my deflated balloons I had before! So far so good!

Oh, I think you're pretty, but as a mom, i can understand how it feels to have a certain body, then have it thrashed by pregnancy. You're going to look great after this. Please keep us posted!
I go today for another consult and follow up with my PS before the surgery to answer any questions and make sure we're set to go!
I had asked how many CC's was he going to do along with my lift and he said he does what he thinks looks natural, he'll add an implant and if it ends up being a C, to a borderline D then that's what he goes with. His patients are like a piece of art to him, not just a dollar sign so he wants to make sure everything looks natural, that you can't tell they're fake!
I'll be watching your posts and story too, It'll be nice to talk to someone who will be going through the same thing at the same time. Let me know how the lipo goes, I've read a lot of stories and they say it seems to be tough, a little painful.
Good Luck! It'll be here before you know it!
Go Steelers!
I hear ya on the "skinny enough" comments. My mom even commented on being able to see my ribs, and I'm skinny enough...if they only understood. I even showed her the mess and she still said that!
Keep us posted! I'll be following your recovery. :) I think you're going to look great!
I can't wait to see your results!
Best of luck to you!
