Hello ladies! My name is Kate, I'm 17 years old, barely 5'1" tall and weigh only 112 pounds. Unfortunately I have been blessed and cursed with size DD breasts. Lately if have been thinking about whether or not a breast reduction would be an option for a gal like me. After all, my boyfriend's sister got one not too long ago, which is when I realized there's finally a way out of my troubles! I have upper back and neck pain, not so much pain in my shoulders, but it is often difficult to find a well fitting and COMFORTABLE bra, especially in my price range. In fact, I recently payed a visit to the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale with a friend of mine who of course has a perfect pair of b cup breasts. I was complaining how I barely fit into any of the bras the store carries anymore and how soon I'll be ordering larger size from online. A sales associate over heard me and then asked if I had gotten implants! Do you believe that!? Needless to say, as soon as I returned home, I sat down immediately with my iPad and have been obsessing over research regarding breast reductions.

Of course neither of my parents believe my large breasts are a sincere problem, and insist that I just simply forget about how much they bother me. My mother even bribes me and offered to by more flattering bathing suits since summer is coming around soon. That didn't work! Finally agreed to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon (the same one who performed an outstanding procedure on my boyfriend's sister, whom she recommended).

I feel as though my research has covered just about every topic, from incision types to scarring, what the risks are and how the side effects are taken are of. I even found of video of a real surgery which was kind of neat, but it was hard to visualize myself under the knife in an operating room seeing as the only thing close to surgery I have ever came was a tooth extraction.

But anyway, I have an appointment on April 9, and I've decided to make a list of all the questions to ask my surgeon at my consultation. The thing is, I've done a whole lot of research, but I'm still not so sure what I should be asking! Would any of you ladies give me a little help here? And for those who have already had their procedures completed, is there anything you wish you had have asked prior to your surgery?

Thanks a bunch! Your help would mean a lot because my mother isn't so supportive of me in this situation. A girl needs her mama at a time like this, but oh well. I'm just trying to impress both my mother me my PS at the consultation with how much I know about breast reduction to prove that even though I am young, this surgery is something that I'm mature enough to go through and something that would be extremely life changing and beneficial.
