Pain update

So the pain has really subsided today - still sore when I put the trays back in on those canines - with minimal throbbing/aching. It's been five hours since I woke up and I've taken out and replaced the trays twice - approx. 30mins in total.
My tongue is still sensetive and last night I started experiencing rawness on my upper lip where the canines rub against. That seems to have settled down and I only applied one small amount of Bonjela to my tongue just before I went to bed last night.

Side profile with first tray

Just thought I'd add a side profile shot of my first trays smiling and natural.

Yesterday afternoon I started my Invisalign...

Yesterday afternoon I started my Invisalign treatment which is a course of 18 sets of trays which is a 36 week treatment (approximately nine months), taking me to November 2015 of my completed program. Now in saying that, I have also purchased a product called Acceledent which has been known to halve treatment times which should take me to just over four months (18 weeks) - to June 2015 - of total treatment time.

The Acceledent Aura (the version I bought) hasn't arrived just yet however, I'm eager to start using it as I obviously would like my teeth to be straight as fast as possible but also because I have read many reviews that it eases the extreme pain you experience with your aligners.

I've had them in now for just under 24 hours (approximately two hours out for eating, drinking coffee and brushing my teeth) and it is extremely painful. I slept fine last night however, my canines are experiencing extreme pain when taking out and putting back the aligners - *please note: I have only removed/replaced the aligners three times within this period. The rest of the time there is a severe dull ache which is very uncomfortable. Additionally, the bottom of my tongue is particularly sore as it scrapes along the tray when I speak or when I am drinking water - *please note: that I had this trimmed/buffed already but it is still uncomfortable.

People have noticed a difference in speech and just the way I am holding my mouth however, my work colleagues have said if I hadn't of said anything, they wouldn't have noticed the attachments. My fiancé also has mentioned that they aren't particularly noticeable but he can see changes in my lips and mouth shape due to the aligners being in place.

Eating lunch, my teeth seemed sensitive and sore but faded after about 10 minutes of the aligner being out of my mouth. It didn't last for long as replacing the aligner was excruciating. Removing the aligners is also very, very difficult as they are very tight on the attachments and each time it feels as though my tooth or the attachment is coming with the tray and/or I will break the tray due to the angle/force required.

I will either update weekly or daily dependant on any observations or changes!
