“Worth the downsides of the procedure!”
Perlane: Worth it
Pain: Mild
I am very please with my results. Perlane was my first wrinkle injection treatment. I had planned to get Radiasse injected because it lasts several months longer, but the P.A. who treated me suggested Perlane since it was my first time . She said that if I liked the results, the having the Radiasse (or other longer lasting filler) would be a good idea.
I love the fullness it gave me at the top of my cheeks ,just under the eye area. That improvement alone was worth the discomfort. I also really like the fullness and line reduction around the mouth, smile lines and lower corners of lips/chin.
I did have several bruises (that took about ten days to disappear)but some were from the Lidocaine injections used to numb the area . No swelling that was obvious, but a tenderness and sensitivity that lasted for several days. Looks and feels very natural.
I would definitely recommend and will have more fillers as these wear off. The filler should last 6 -9 months, I was told. It has been about 3 weeks since my treatment and I am thrilled with my younger look!
I would definitely recommend going to a female Dr. (or other professional) if possible , or finding a male physician who is artistic and talented with plastic surgery.

i had perlane injected into my nasal folds at a cost of $1200. I thought it was way too much but first time so i wasn.t sure. It looked great for about 2 months then started wearing off. Im still paying the credit card bill for this even though it has all worn off. I would not do this again because of the expense only. I would recommend anything more permanent of, as an alternative, at least to last about a year or so. Any suggestions??

Debra, I'm sorry you weren't happy with this round of your treatment. Since you asked for suggestions, I'll bite. Probably not what you want to hear, but my suggestion is that people not have luxurious procedures that they can't afford. Going into debt for cosmetic dermal fillers? Why are we living in a world where we have all forgotten the basic premise of 'if I don't have the money to pay for it, then I can't afford it?' I feel certain that people will enjoy the benefits of their treatments 100 times more when they are not in debt over them.
