How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I recently had major surgery from Lourdes Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, located at 7425 Wrigley Drive, Suite 204, Pasco, WA 99301.
My preference has been female doctors in the last 30 years as I feel more comfortable around them due to same body types and internal issues. Therefore, empathy and understanding with respect is more forthcoming from a female. (My experience).
This has actually saved my sanity and created more hope to feel like a normal human. And, yes there is a norm. I’ve had to let go of a second career of 20 years as a therapist due to health issues and can attest to that statement.
I found my norm with Karen B. Vaniver, MD, FACS and Vickie, surgical RN, who works with Dr. Vaniver. This medical duo is superb as they work together in unison as if they were in their own dance. A dance that is serious, as well as creating a warm and comfortable environment for the client.
My former breast implants were a disaster; not fit for any female to wear. They had been implanted too many years ago to count. I joked about their use being only for baby roaches to use as snow ski devices. Over time they had too many mammograms. As a result, they had been breaking and leaking for years.
Dr. Vaniver saw the severity of my unfortunate deformed breasts, as well as the toll it had taken on me emotionally. Clearance from my health provider was approved, and a date was set for my 4 hour operation.
Dr. Vaniver explained succinctly my situation and issues I might face in the operating room, as well as what to expect following surgery. I followed her professional instructions pre and post surgery as I wanted to feel ‘put together’ – like unto a whole or Gestalt.
I survived Step One; the operation. Step Two was the successful formation of the breasts. You must follow the directives of Dr.Vaniver and Vickie. They want you to succeed and look great.
This duo applauds your successes, gives you hope, respects your questions and thoughts, treats you with kindness, and doesn’t make you feel you are beneath them as in a caste system. You will only experience encouragement.
I have already recommended someone to Dr. Vaniver. I will continue to do so.
I will end with my saying, “Panty hose and Umbrellas are a good idea, but poor execution.” Cheryl E. Watson, BFA, MA
I bet Dr. Vaniver could make them better!
My warmest regards to you Dr. and Vickie,
Cheryl
