Over the last year I have gained over 30lbs! It literally seemed to happen over night. I tried dieting, exercise and even meal delivery. Still I never seemed to loose the weight I wanted. Maybe a pound or two here or there but never enough to get back to my old self so I decided to do Liposuction. After searching around I decided on a few Doctors and ultimately decided on going with Dr Gartner as he was professional but also down to earth and not stiff & rigid like other Doctors I have seen who were a bit off putting. What made me choose him was how he was extremely honest in my result and how he took the time to explain to me that he would only be able to remove the fat above my muscle and not under my muscle. Something no other surgeon explained to me. He told me realistically how much reduction I could expect and told me the reduction was on the safe side meaning I could see more but he didn't promise me over the moon, drastic results like other Doctors did.
I've had my fair share of surgery and didn't think Lipo would be a big deal. Well, it kind of was. It was painful. The first day was fairly easy as the anesthesia hadn't completely worn off but at night I quickly realized how hard it was to sleep and to maneuver in bed. Since I got lipo done on my abdomen, flanks, and back you can imagine how hard it was to move my upper body.
It was also uncomfortable being soaked in all the fluid/blood that was draining (totally normal and something the Dr told me to expect). After my first nights sleep, I stopped draining and was pretty much dry but I would say pain wise, Day 2 was the worst day.
Currently on Day 3 and can see I feel much better. Im so glad I got the worst out the way and can see every day being better and better. I haven't bruised much at all, just a bit swollen but my mom commented that I look flat already! Which was a great boost to my morale being it only day 3 I can imagine how much skinnier I will look in the weeks to come. Will update after a few days!

Dr Gartner and Vicki were extremely sweet, caring and helpful throughout the whole process. Although I am only 3 days post-op I can already see my results. Dr. Gartner was realistic with what I can expect which is something I truly appreciated as I can tell he was being honest with me and not just trying to sell me a surgery. He advised me on all the things that could go wrong, the pain factor and the swelling to come. His staff was great and I felt taken care of the day of surgery. Will update as I continue to heal. So far so good!
