7 months after Breast Lift

I have been meaning to update my post now that it has been 7 months after the lift procedure. I am beyond happy with the results of my lift, no regrets! Dr. Gartner is amazing and I recommend him to anyone looking for any type of breast and body work. Scars are acceptable, not horrible to deal with. I am now a 34C bra size ( I was a 34D prior to lift). To ensure I maintain my new found perky breasts, I make sure to wear a sports bra for bed time and of course I wear a bra during day, I only go braless when needed with certain outfits.

First follow up after Breast lift procedure

I had my first follow up visit 4 days after procedure, on may 26. Needed to bring a sports bra to wear afterwards. My drains and bandages were taken off (just a few seconds of discomfort when drains are being removed). I felt relieved to be out of those bandages and drains. The plastic coverings still remain over the Breasts to protect the incisions which are still healing; these shall be removed on my second visit in a week. I can finally shower now. I am very happy with these initial results (see pics) , my breasts are perky! They are round at the top for now but I think this will subside after the swollen phase passes; have to wait a few more weeks to see end results after swolleness has gone down. Need to wear a wireless sports bra or regular bra 24/7 (except when showering) for a few weeks until all heals.

I wanted to a get a breast lift since my college...

I wanted to a get a breast lift since my college years and I am glad I finally did it. I did it to feel more comfortable naked and to be able to wear certain clothes that can only be worn braless. The day of the procedure, I was calm and collected, which helps in this process (patient has to be 100% sure that they want the procedure and that they are comfortable with their surgeon, otherwise, it will not be a pleasant ride during such sensitive times) . I went under general anesthesia and surgery lasted around 2 hours. Drains were placed on each breast and my chest was wrapped in bandages. I woke up relax, no side effects of anesthesia , no pain.

Dr. Gartner has good bedside manner; he checked in on me the first night and was available the second day when I called to explain that my drains were bothering me. I have not bled to much into the drains in these past four days which is a good sign.

I have been in recovery 4 days now and it has been a painless recovery! There is truly no pain, only discomfort here and there. The time I felt true discomfort was on the second day ( drains poked me a bit and felt tightness in the chest area due to the wrapping but NO unbearable pain or sleepless nights; I have slept very well and have a good appetite. ). I only took pain killers to take the edge off for the first two days but no need for them after the third day. I feel itchy from time to time around the wrappped area due to the bandages; unfortunately I cannot scratch the area so I just deal with it.

By the third day, I was able to get out of bed on my own and move around freely. I was also able to move my arms freely and do things on my own (like feeding myself, brushing my teeth, washing my face, using laptop, etc)

My stats: I am 30 years old , female , hispanic, height is 5 feet, 3 inches,
115 pounds, breast size before lift was 34D ( will update on my new bra size once I can get a better sense after recovery)

Prior to meeting Dr. Gartner, I met with other doctors in NJ and NY but chose Dr. Gartner because of how comfortable he made feel and his honesty. He explained procedure throughly , answered all of my questions, and was honest about my expectations. As far as the price of procedure, I think it was a fair price for a breast lift ( a NYC doctor quoted me at 11k just for a lift! with Dr. Gartner I was able to get the lift procedure, with great doctor, at a decent price.. so it was a win for me).
