I had a bad experience with my initial augmentation performed by a different surgeon. I went to Dr Gartner for correction. First and foremost, although the 3 surgeries I endured were not a pleasant journey for me, its 2 years later and I couldn't be happier with the end results. The first surgeon wanted to charge me full price to correct my bottoming out, which I couldn't believe (I didn't expect it free, but full price is just cruel considering I was 25, saved for years to have my initial surgery, and walked away with awful results). I explained what happened to Dr Gartner and he assured me had he done my initial surgery he would've corrected it for free as he believed it was a poor incision technique that caused my original implants to fail. So I went forward with the revision with Dr Gartner, removal of original implants, insertion of new ones and an internal bra to support the failure in my original breast folds. Upon healing I had suboptimal results with the internal bra as it caused the outline of the underside of my breasts to be asymmetrical (one had a sharper squared outline while the other was perfectly round). And to Dr. Gartner's credit, he was true to his word and assured me he would correct this without charge. Although I didn't realize it at the time, this series of events was for the best. After my original surgery I came to find out I've been living with scoliosis that caused my rib cage to be rotated, making one breast stick out and point to the side, which was never noticeable with my natural A cup breasts. one breast projected off my chest further (about 3/4 inch) which made the other one look much wider, and bras weren't fitting me right. I explained my theory to dr Gartner and said I would like to replace the implant at the same time the internal bra was fixed (it happened to be the same breast which jutted out further). I wanted the same size implant, but in a moderate plus profile to reduce the projection and spread the width. It took a little convincing of my theory, but when Dr Gartner concurred he said I only had to pay for the cost of the implant I was having him replace. Removing and replacing the implant was a lot more work than adding a couple stitches to my rib cage, but he put my desire for optimal results first. To this day I'm amazed my body has such beautiful results because I was not an ideal candidate for implants, given the extent of my rib cage deformity (my spine has a 26 degree curve in it.) I wouldn't say the experience start to finish was spectacular in every way, but to me the most important thing was the end result. I have recommended dr Gartner to many friends and relatives.
