“Wanting a Lift with Existing Implants”
Spent: $3,800 in Panama City, FL
Pro~Wanted bigger breast
Cons~Never sat the way I wanted them to, now saggy they fall into my armpits when I lay down, not enough volume in the top
Hello I had breast implants almost 3 years ago. I had a baby 13 months ago and now I hate my implants. I feel like they have lost all volume in the top and are loose due to my skin stretching out. Is a lift with implants already a tough surgury?? I want to acheive the "fake" look. Is having a lift going to help with that?? On the insides I have stretch marks which Inever had until after the pregnancy. When I push the implant up the stretch marks go away. Is it possible for them to go away completly after the lift?? I was a B and went to DD. 420 overfilled to 450 cc'sThis review is the subjective opinion of a RealSelf member and not of RealSelf, Inc.

My Doctor: name not provided
Kinda seems like he is gonna do what he thinks instead of what the patient wants

Hi there- It would be difficult to responsibly answer your question without first meeting to discuss your goals in visual terms, perform a careful exam, and review options. It is possible that what you desire could be achieved with a simple procedure, but you need to be very careful that you don't compromise your chances of achieving your goals in order to have this simple procedure... In other words, as I always tell my patients- the only thing worse than being unhappy with how you look is spending money and having surgery and STILL being unhappy with how you look. Therefore it is very important that you find a surgeon you like and trust and that you do not proceed until you have a plan for surgery that you and your surgeon really believe has a very good chance of achieving what you want. I hope that helps you.
As far as lift vs implants vs fake, your best bet is to get a clear idea of your goal, and be less concerned with the path that gets you there. That's why you consult with a plastic surgeon for his expertise and guidance. By all means, be informed, but don't fall into the trap of Paralysis By Analysis. If you want the fake look, then say as much to your surgeon; it's all about providing bespoke services.
One of the things you can do to prep for your next consult will be to spend time collecting pics from online (magazine clippings will do as well). At some point you'll want to distill them down to a modest collection of, say, at most 10 pics, showing frontal shots, side shots, oblique shots, etc. Ideally of the same woman (if possible). Perhaps both clothed and unclothed (again, if possible). The objective is to clearly communicate to the plastic surgeon what you're looking to achieve. And trying to define a 3-D look with 2-D images will be challenging anyway. (If you happen to have a good friend who has the look you're keen to replicate, see if she would be willing to come along to your consult and provide a "real world" example. That would help rather nicely.)
Best of luck!
