Tummy Tuck: Stories

Get physically fit and healthy before undergoing the procedure and talk to Dr Buck about any concerns. Make sure you have some help for a few days when you come home. Carefully follow Dr's orders, drink plenty and don't be hard on yourself give it time, prepare and the results will come.

I had my Tummy tuck after weight loss to remove the lose skin and a little lipo on the flanks. I lost 75 pounds and Dr. Buck removed 10 pounds of lose skin as well as the muscle repair. I had 3 C-sections and a hysterectomy years ago so my muscles needed the repair. I came home with a pain pump, drains and a cath, and stitches of course. I also had an abdominal binder and bandages for several weeks, then once Dr Buck told me I didn't need to wear the binder, she suggested something like spanks, which I used and worked extremely well.

The first two weeks are the worst. I saw Dr Buck two days after the procedure for a check up and a few days after that, the early weeks you see the dr several times and she'll remove the stitches as they are ready and the drains once they are not filling as much, the pain pump came out at about 3, there was no pain when the pump came out just a funny tickle feeling, the drains came out easily too.

At about a month I was moving around well and from that point each week got better, of course you have times that you get a rough day after all you are healing from a major procedure but Dr Buck and her staff help you the entire time. There was a lot of swelling for months but resting seemed to help with that, I did a lot of walking the first month and then progressed from there back into my regular routine as my body would let me know what I could do. My results are amazing!!!

The best advise I think would be to listen to Dr Bucks advise and not to be afraid to ask any question and get back to your exercise routine as soon as you can it makes a huge difference in both how I feel now and look. Patients at the beginning too, the recovery it not always easy but 100% worth it!! I've never been happier. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful amazing Dr.

I had a positive experience, Dr Buck helped throughout the process. She and her staff are amazing and very comforting. I felt warm and welcomed at each visit. It was a difficult surgery but Dr Buck and her staff prepared me and answered my questions clear through my final checkup. I would highly recommend Dr Buck, she sets the bar very high and truly cares about her patients, her compassion, expertise and skill are the best! She's a wonderful listener. I would not hesitate to have her do any procedure on me.

It's been 21 months since my TT/MR I have continued to improve and am still amazed at the difference. Dr. Buck is absolutely outstanding!!! It is the best thing I could have done for myself, I feel the best I have ever felt both mentally and physically, it would not have been possible with Dr. Buck's guidance and encouragement, she goes above and beyond and I will forever be grateful for her. I so miss seeing her.

It's been two years now, oh how the time has flown by. I have continued to improve in every way possible since my TT. My incision has faded that only I can see it now and that's because I know right where it is. Dr Buck has continued to be supportive and encourage me. Dr Buck is amazing.
