I am not someone that is comfortable with social...
I am not someone that is comfortable with social media; and sharing details of cosmetic surgical procedures is a little embarrassing. But I feel compelled to publically express the exceptional care, kindness and skill I have been the beneficiary of at Water’s Ede Dermatology.
A little background is necessary to understand the way Dr. Bebe C. Pajo has transformed my face and my life. Several years ago I was the victim of a violent assault. Although the physical injuries healed, I still saw myself as a victim without control. I avoided looking at myself in the mirror. As I neared my 40th birthday I decided to try Sculptra to give my face back the time my physical and emotional recovery from the assault stole. I went to a plastic surgeon in Delaware. He did not know what he was doing and my face looked misshapen and lumpy, even after the swelling and bruises healed. I was mortified. My husband could not understand why I elected to do this to myself.
Fortunately, within a year of my horrible Sculptra experience, we moved to South Florida. I received referrals from neighbors and new friends to Water’s Edge Dermatology. I was hesitant to hope the lumps in my face could be fixed. I decided to schedule a consult before making an appointment. Best decision I ever made (well, aside from marrying my husband!).
From the moment I locked eyes with Kimberly Van Keuren, the Cosmetic Coordinator for Water’s Edge dermatology, I knew she was someone I could trust. She explained why I had reacted so badly to the Sculptra the first time. With Sculptra the results are natural and easy…if you have a skilled physian making the injections. Kimberly assured me Dr. Bebe C. Pajo is the best. I trusteed Kimberly and made an appointment for corrective Sculpta injections with Dr. Pajo.
With the first series of injections Dr. Pajo smoothed and corrected the lumps the doctor in Delaware left. With the second series of injections Dr. Pajo used her exceptional aesthetic eye and precise surgical skill to transform my face. I experienced mild bruising (concealed with powder) and minimal discomfort. The same night of the day of my last series of Sculptra was administered, I attended a party and no one knew! All night people complemented me on how good I looked. There was no swelling and the only reason my face hurt was from all the smiling!
Some may think the choice for cosmetic surgery is vain and superficial. But it is not. The extra collagen in my face has filled me with confidence. I can look in the mirror and feel good about what I see. I am no longer a victim, I was able to take control.
