Worth It
Spent: $1,200 in NC

I was really scared to do this after reading pros and cons but decided to go for it. I did not expect it to be so painful!! Maybe I'm just a wimp but the next treatment I will be more prepared.

Tomato faced for about 2 hours. Pain lasted about the same time. Mild stinging right now (12 hours later)

The thing I am most terryfied about right now is the severe crusting I have already-looks very dark brown in patches (screen door face is perfect way to describe). I really hope that it starts to dissappear quickly-If it doesn't I don't know if I will continue tretments.

I agree with people-this is NOT something you do and go right back to work!! Not sure if worth it yet-too soon to tell.

I had my 2nd treatment done on Monday and they tripled the stacks from 2 - 6. I could definitely see the difference this time. I was very red the first day and I applied Vaseline and Vitamin E and made sure to drink enough water. The 2nd day was even worst but I was fine on the 3rd day .. I only showed some redness. I did a mild peeling with yogurt and oatmeal at the end of the 2nd day which made a huge difference, it got rid of the old skin without damaging it. In my opinion, the treatment has been successful, especially in combination with Botox.

I had Pixel laser 4 days ago. I didnt expect it to be super painful after the procedure, cold compress minimizes the pain, and I took super fast r relief pain reliever, which should have been taken 30 mins before the procedure. My face was super red for 24 hours. Then it became rough brown, like crust. Its my 4th day now and it is not peeling yet, huhu. I didnt know the downtime is more than a week. I dont recommend this for people who needs to work (like me). I had to put tons of concealer and powder just to conceal it, it is not a nice sight. I hope its all worth it.

I had the same experience, though luckily I only had to work the first day after the treatment, and then had four days off for Thanksgiving. Today, Sunday, was the first day I could go out and not feel that people were staring at me since the treatment on Tuesday. The first two days I was just super red, and though it looked terrible, I was able to cake on enough make-up to cover it up. At the end of day two, the pixel pattern appeared in brown scabs - it's a 3D effect so can't really be covered with make-up. It's mostly peeled now, and though my face is a bit puffy still, my skin looks pretty nice. As for pain - the procedure was fine, but my face was very very irritated for a good 48 hrs. No fun.

I've had mine done and the technician told me to was with water only and not to apply anything on it. It was really really painful. I took the pain and waited for 2nd day which pain was worsen and face looked horrible. Then I found this site. One of the blogs were very helpful on after care. I used aquaphor treatment ointment which really minimized the pain and I was able to smile without hurting. At the end of that day, I washed with Cetaphil and can feel the skin smoothly scraping off my face, no burns and pain. Aquaphor ointment was a miracle worker. I suggest you try that even though the provider tells you not to use anything. I'm on my third day right now, and my face feels great and smooth and not a single pain. I know this is late to previous pain complaints, but for those who are researching like I did, Aquaphor ointment is the answer for the pain and fast healing. I forgot the name of he doctor in California that posted the blog but Thank you, your blog was great assistance in my healing process.

I had my first pixel treatment 2 weeks ago and my skin is justing back to normal. I am a redhead with very fair, dry and sensitive skin. The day of treatment was not that bad or even the next day. The dry skin and the itchng that appeared on the 4th day was like being in a torture chamber. Not being able to touch my face or rub off the dead skin or even use a decent moisturizer was hell for me. I am still using Nutrogena moisturizer and my skin feels good but I have to say I miss the anti aging products that I am not sopposed to use until treatment is over. My skin is naturally very dry and it doesnt feel as moisturized as it normally does. As far as results go, I've noticed softening of my crows feet and my skin looks more even toned and my pores look smaller. I haven't had any compliments on my skin yet but I still have two treatments to go. I would reccommend the pixel even though there were some rough days.
