I had Coolsculpting done on my inner thighs on the 4th of July, and on my love handles and lower abdomen on July 13. Except from severe bruising (large black and purple spots!) on my inner thighs, I didn't experience much trouble with the thighs and love handles. The procedure itself was tolerable in these areas. The soreness and pain afterwards was moderate, and after a couple of days, the treated areas could easily be massaged. Now the soreness is almost gone, and the fat tissue feels soft to touch.

As for my lower abdomen, or "pot belly", the story is quite different. The doctor chose to use the largest head on this area, and the procedure really took my breath away as the fat was sucked in (and it hurt a lot for the next 10 minutes). It was also very painful when the nurse massaged the frozen fat back into shape afterwards. And - 9 days after, my poor belly now stings, burns and HURTS like h***!

The treated area is also somewhat hotter to touch than the rest of my belly. It is really difficult to find clothes that I can actually wear, because anything that just slightly touches my belly makes it hurt even more. My belly is still very swollen and feels "hard" to touch, and I seriously look as if I were four months pregnant (which naturally makes it even harder to find something to wear!). On one occasion, I tried wearing Spanx underneath my clothes (to perhaps ease the pain and at the same time avoid looking like a fat, pregnant whale at my friend's birthday party). HOwever, this only made the pain go from bad to plain unbearable, and I felt really sorry for myself and therefore had to eat a lot of cake :(

The "real" pain started on day 2 or 3. In the beginning, I just tried to endure it, but for the last couple of days, I have been taking ibuprofen (600-800 mg), because "enduring" kind of sucked. Unfortunately, the meds haven't helped much at all, and it is really starting to affect my mood. I am NOT happy! If the pain hasn't subsided by Monday, I'm definitely calling the clinic.

Right now, I really wouldn't recommend anyone to do this. But hopefully, it will get better soon. Seeing some actual results would probably help, too :)
