I waited so long because of fear and fear alone. I have a story like most women sacrificing my body for the evolution of the human race! Or, I ate to much in my pregnancy and have suffered the side affects. So gaining 85pds with my son left me an "Apron". I had felt the shame of that for 17yrs and until last week suffered severe self-esteem problems. I am only a week out and feel like I have been let out of prison! As far as I am concerned there is no pain that compares to the mental pain!

Hi Gaby,

Congratulations on making the decision to finally do this for yourself. All of the pain is definitely wort it in the end. You feel like a totally new woman and full of life and energy now..right!

Sounds like you are doing pretty well. How has your recovery been going so far? Any advice you could share with other women? I would love to hear more about your experience.

Also will you consider posting before and after pictures?
