Ok so thought it was about time I started rambling...

Ok so thought it was about time I started rambling. I feel like I've been stalking realself for about 6 months now trying to get as much info as I possibly can for this procedure. What an amazing site - it has answered so many questions and concerns that I have, I'm at the point now where I just want it done and over with. The only reason I've been procrastinating is because I live out of the country so finding a suitable PS or location to fly into has been an absolute pain in the butt and I know will end up costing me a fortune flying back & forth.

So I've started on my mission with a first consultation this week. We flew into Orlando to see family and through some friends was recommended Dr John Chois who had performed rhinoplasty on them and were very happy with the results. Unfortunately he's not on realself although I have done research and read some very good reviews on him. I'm wondering if anyone else knows him or anyone he's done procedures on? Anyway although my friends had nothing but good to say I went in very open minded not expecting too much. They say first impressions are always important - well the office and surgery rooms are immaculate, very modern and comfortable. The girls were lovely and very helpful. I didn't wait long at all and my husband sat and watched a movie in the cosy waiting room while I went in for my consult.

First impressions of Dr Chois....very warm, friendly and knowledgable. I instantly felt comfortable with him. I went in with a lot of questions and although nerves kind of took over I'm pretty sure he answered everything. I mentioned that I wanted a very conservative look just to look like my young self again. I've read so many mixed reviews about the removal of too much skin & fat etc. so this has been my main concern. He was very patient with my questions. I really appreciated the fact that he didn't try to sell me any other procedures - even when looking at his before & afters, I mentioned other things that I'd like to get done and he kept saying lets just stick to the upper lids for now.

So as you can see from the pics I've posted. The top is from about 10 years ago. I've always had full lids - they're hereditary and I really liked them but getting to my late 30's til now they are getting so heavy that I'm constantly raising my eyebrows to keep the weight off which is not good because now I have deep lines on my forehead. I've tried botox and fillers which I like except botox on my forehead is a no go as it puts more pressure on my eyes & hate that I can't raise my eyebrows.

**Where I'm at now
Ok so I'm back home trying to decide whether to bite the bullet and just go with Dr Chois or go for a second opinion which would mean flying out again for another consult. I may be in NY in November so if anyone in upper bleph land can help out with advice/recommendations etc - that'd be so much appreciated. Will keep you all posted on my decisions.
