Just had IPL yesterday afternoon on face and neck (no chest sun damage) and it's now the morning after. Definitely have the coffee ground look with lots of dark freckling. Can't tell what the final result will be, but I think the coffee ground effect is what's expected and will help reduce freckling and sun spots I've developed over my 53 years. A numbing cream was applied before the procedure, I didn't feel more than a pin-prick of pain with each zap although my face felt hot and sunburned for about 1-2 hours afterward. Not bad discomfort at all. Thus far, I'm glad I did this but only time will tell the results- I will update this review once/week at least for the next three weeks. I used a Groupon for this and paid $89.
