I have wanted to do LASIK for awhile, but recently it's really been something I want done. We are going on a Cruise in October, so a few months ago I gave myself a goal to have it done before then. I can hardly wait to wear all the cute sunglasses, and watch tv in bed without my glasses on. Oh and see what time it is in the morning without them. All the basic things we all want!


This Friday I have a consult with Dr. Blanton in Ontario California. A friend of mine (and many members in her family) had the procedure done with him. I hope to be glasses free very soon.

My consult today was great with Dr. Blanton! I decided to proceed for the surgery and even got my eyes dilated today so I don't have to go back again until my surgery date I am scheduled for Thursday, August 9th at 2pm.

Today is the day! My surgery is at 2pm. I am very excited and slightly nervous (more excited for sure) to be glasses free. When I was watching TV last night I kept thinking that I should never have to do this again. WOW.....
I will update tomorrow or the next day to let you know how it went.

I had my LASIK yesterday at 2 and was home alsleep by 5. I slept all night and had my post op this morning at 845. Besides a little dryness at times, I am doing FANTASTIC. I saw better than 20/20 at my exam today. I am thrilled!

Almost two months since my procedure and already sometimes I forget I ever had glasses. It's amazing. I have had no complications and am happy to be glasses free!

Thanks!!! I'm so loving it. My eyes are a little tired and sore today but I am still so amazed how well I can see. It's life changing. Your hubby should so do it!

YAY!!!!! How awesome!!! Super exciting! Glad to hear it all went so great for you!!! My hubby would love lasik! I wear contacts but after having kiddos my eyesite has gotten progressively better - if it was to improve from here I wouldn't even need contacts so lasik for me would be a waste but man - how nice for you! Very cool and congrats!!!!
