After having four children, I had gained weight...

After having four children, I had gained weight and had difficulty trying to loose it. After finally getting on the right track and eating healthy and exercising I had lost 40 pounds but still had that dreaded "muffin top" that I just could not get rid of no matter how much I tried! So I decided to look into getting liposuction or a tummy tuck and made an appointment with Dr. Bruneteau at Aesthetic Surgical Images. After further discussion with Dr. Bruneteau, we decided that a tummy tuck would be the best route for my body. I also got lipsuction on my thighs during this same procedure.
Before the procedure I was more excited than nervous. I looked online to find out what to expect after the surgery even though the clinic, doctor, and nurses provided much information about it. I just wanted to be as prepared as I could possibly be. After having the procedure, I would have to say that I wish I had be able to talk to an actual person who had gone through with it so that I could have gotten some pointers or advice on things to have or do after the procedure. Some things I would suggest to you, if you are planning on having the procedure is, be sure to have LOTS of pillows for your bed to prop you up and have someone there to help you out of the bed or chair. It is much easier if someone pulls up out of the bed/chair rather than you trying to use your ab muscles yourself. It is VERY painful for the first 2-3 weeks. You will have drains that will usually be in your pubic area that get very uncomfortable at times. Make sure you follow the Dr.'s instructions and DO NOT overdo yourself or you will have these in for a longer period of time! You DO NOT want this!!! The less you do, the quicker you will heal. Just take it easy the first two weeks! I was down for a good three weeks! Be sure to buy a few compression camis, waist bands, and/or leggings. Also be prepared to not be able to stand up straight for 4 weeks or more. I know for myself it was nearly 6 weeks before I was able to stand up completely upright!
I know this information might be a little bit scarey but I am writing it so that you are a bit more prepared and so that you know what may happen to you after your procedure. If you asked me if it was worth it and if I would do it again.....ABSOLUTELY!!! Even though it was painful afterwards, I am so extremely happy that I did it! I love my new body and like showing it off!! I know that I was never going to get rid of that muffin top without the help of Dr. Bruneteau! He is an awesome Dr. and was always helpful when I had questions. If you are looking for a Dr., then give Dr. Bruneteau a call!!!

Dr. Bruneteau was very informative, helpful, and caring. He was always quick to answer any questions I had even after hours. When I had issues with my drains, he was able to fit me in even though he has an extremely busy schedule! I am so glad I picked him to be my Dr.!
