35 Years Old.. Mommy Makeover - Omaha, NE

I had my first child at age 21, and I gained 80 lbs with that pregnancy. While I have the most wonderful 14 year old daughter now, I had really saggy skin and a boat load of stretch marks. When you are that young, it makes you really self conscious of your body. All of my friends would be able to wear bikinis, and I was full of stretch marks, so I was embarrassed. I had always had it in the back of mind to have a tummy tuck after I was done having children. I had my second daughter at age 33. I breast fed both of my children, so with the stretch marks, I also had very deflated breasts! Not so sexy! I decided to go to Dr. John Edney at Aesthetic Surgical Images in Omaha. I am thrilled that I chose that place and him as a Doctor. I chose Dr. Edney for my procedure because everyone I knew that had breast augmentation, and I who I really liked the results from, went to Dr. Edney that I knew of.  Not only did my result turn out fantastic, the experience itself was very good. When I went in for my first consultation, Dr. Edney explained in detail what a tummy tuck consisted of so that I was not surprised. This is not an easy procedure to recover from, so it was nice to have all of my facts before I made my decision. Also, the day of the procedure, I was very nervous, and I cried a little bit before I went under. He sat down with me and asked me if I was sure that I wanted to go through it. I was just scared because it was surgery.. and surgery can be very scary.  His bedside manner was very good. Not only that, my husband is the one that needed to take care of me during recovery, and the staff explained everything to him in great detail and explained how I would be feeling. My husband is not the most nurturing guy in the world, so the fact that he took such great care of me after they explained the recovery to him made the world of difference. Also, there are drains that you have to have to drain fluid from your tummy tuck. They have to stay in until they are draining 25cc's of fluid or less in a 24 hour period. I had them in for a full 2 weeks, and I wanted them out so bad. I called their office every single day almost begging to have them taken out. I know I wasn't the easiest patient, and the staff there handled me with grace. Dr. Montag, another Dr. there, was on call one night, and even called me at 10 pm to address some of my concerns. The very best part about this procedure is that I just got back from a beach vacation in San Diego and wore a bikini for the first time in 15 years.
