3 weeks!!!

Yesterday was 3 weeks since I started my journey to the flat side and what a journey it has been! Week 2 I started having some nerve issues in the crease of my leg up by my gron. Went to see Dr.brou he said it was due to my garment being 2 sizes too small and causing more swelling then I shoukd have which is causing pressure on my nerve. So he overnighted me a smaller garment. It's been a week later and the nerve issue is not as frequent but still will zap me sometimes. Mostly when I go to stand up or sit up when I'm laying down. My tummy is still a little swollen. BUT yesterday morning I was able to get a glimps of a flat tummy with NO swelling!!! It was great!! It was the first time since I've had my surgery. It was short lived tho :(.
Last night was the first night I could lay on my side without the pressure of my body hurting my incision. It was only for a couple of hours but it was a relief to not have to lay on my back!

Day 6 PO!!

Can't believe it has been 6 days since I hit the FLAT SIDE!! Yay!! Still is unbelievable to me. I'll go back a few days since I haven't updated in a few days. The morning of the surgery I was calm but nervous if that makes any since! My surgery started at 8:15 am and lasted till a little after 5. When I woke up in recovery I was in a lot of pain! I've been told with a mm you don't really feel your breast implants because of the trauma and pain to your tummy but I am here to tell you ladies that WAS NOT true for me!! My breast hurt my nipples were on fire I felt like I could feel EVERYTHING! I stayed over night in the surgery center and my nurse was just awesome but I remained in pain. It was intense but talerable. She told me I would be released around 5:30am so she needed me to walk to the potty around 5am and I told her there was no way in hell that was happening but she assured me I could do it and you ladies here on REALSELF are truly what gave me the motivation to get it done!! Lol NO KIDDING! The countless journeys on here I have read and they ALL end up with a walk to the potty room so we did lol and it hurt like hell!!!!!!!!! The drive home was okay. As long as I was sitting and not moving I was in good shape it was the moving that was just unbelievably painful! Get home ..., I have stairs to my house!!! I thought there was no way I was going to be able to do that but I did!! Wasn't as bad as I thought. First 3 days were a painful blur. I have an 8 month old daughter who thinks she is literally attached to me she doesn't relize she is a different body till I go to put her down then she's like oh heck no!!! Come back you forgot something, She has done amazing!!! I can't believe how well she is taking this. She just plays in the floors will crawl up to my chair pull her self up give me a big toothless smile crawl down and she's off!!! I'm so thankful for that! Day 4 I went to Dr.Brous office for a check up and even with 2 drains my back was still retaining a lot of fluid so he breaks out a HUGE syringe with a HUGE needle and pulls 4 syringes full of fluid out of my back!!!! Then tells me I'm not standing up straight enough and makes me straighten out!!! OUCH!!! Although it did hurt like hell I did feel a lot better leaving his office. So here we are day 6 and I have managed to take a shower by myself got around pretty good today but still lots of pain. I TRIED to start weening myself off of pain meds but that was a little premature I really paid for it later this evening. I have to go back to Dr.Brous office in the morning to look at fluid in my back again and to hopefully get these dang tubes out! :). That was a really fast gist of what has happened these last 6 days lol Happy healing ladies!

I LOVE Dr Brou and his staff!! He is so attentive, and patient, he lets you ask as many questions as you want. I never felt rushed or that he needed to get to the next patient. My consult was very informative and a comfortable experience. Despite having to get naked and have pictures taken lol!! He was awesome at painting a complete picture of how this proceeder will transform my body!
