Three weeks post-op tomorrow
I'm finally feeling close to normal. Much more like myself. I had my two week post op appointment last Tuesday. Dr. Brou helped to start the process of peeling off the dermabond glue from the incisions. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little afraid my whole areola was going to peel off with the glue! It was such a strange sensation. I am still pretty numb and a little heavy feeling around my breasts. I luckely have not had severe "boob cramps" in several days.
The best part about my follow appointment was getting the green light to begin cardio. I went straight to the gym after my appointment. I was able to 90 monutes of moderate cardio (60 minutes on the elliptical and 30 on the stair stepper). It felt fantastic! I've been to the gym everyday since for the same amount of time. I started alternating doing legs one day and then abs the next. I cannot wait to start back to boot camp and Body Works classes in addition to my cardio. Before surgery, I typically attended one hour long class and did one additional hour of cardio. I got pretty bored just doing cardio machines this week! I will also be very ready to wear my underwire sports bras instead of 4 soft ones! Yes, I wore 4 bras to prevent jiggling!

Time for an update...
I'm now ten days post op. I'm returning to work tomorrow. I'm not super excited about pulling 12 hour shifts, as I've been been getting fatigued easily. Today I dropped my son off at school, cleaned the house, went to Target, washed/vacuumed the car, picked up the kiddo, took him to swim lessons, and cooked dinner. You know, just normal everyday activities. I fell like I've run a marathon, lol! Tomorrow is going to be interesting for sure. I'm heading to bed early tonight.
The pain has gotten substantially better once I crossed the one week mark. The "boob cramps" that were once a 7 out of 10 on the pain scale, are now only a 3 or 4. I'm only taking motrin and occasionally tylenol when things get bad. I've found that just changing bras sometimes helps some too. I have a variety of stretchy, supportive no wire bras that I've been rotating between.
I'm beginning to really love the new snap and slope of my breasts. They are finally dropping some and the swelling is decreasing. I've even got a little cleavage in one of my sports bras. I can't wait to get to wear a real bra and see what they really look like in clothes.
Overall, things have gone well during my recovery. It has honestly taken more time than I thought that it would to feel like my normal self. It has been so much more painful than my first surgery was. Crossing my fingers for a good day at work tomorrow. I have a 2 week follow up appointment with Dr. Brou next Tuesday. I'm hoping to get the green light to start exercising again. I've been dreaming about cardio and squats and lifting every night. It takes me a very long time to get any muscle or defination, and the little that I have is fading fast!!

Post op day 4
Initially today I was feeling great. A little stir crazy, but overall good. I was up most of the day organizing my son's closet and doing a few loads of laundry. I took another shower and changed into a different nonwire sports bra. Now I'm experiencing lots of pressure and tightness. I just took a dose of the soma and motrin and had my husband rub by back and ribcage with arnicane ointment. I'm not sure if I'm experiencing muscle spasms or just extreme tightness and pressure. Has anyone else experienced these problems after overdoing it? This discomfort is almost as bad as the first day after surgery!
Provider Review
Dr. Brou and his staff are simply the best. I have felt comfortable and reassured throughout this entire experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Brou!!
