New compression garment

I finally bought a new compression garment. I've been wearing my binder from surgery but I hate the way it makes my back look. I look like I have a HUGE upper back roll with it. How can I feel cute with a big back roll? The problem was, was that sometimes I wouldn't wear it with certain things and then I would swell up. All because I was trying to look cute without a back roll. I found this on Amazon and it had really good reviews. Very hard to get on the first time, but the second time wasn't as bad. It does make my waist look smaller and gives me less back fat, but I still feel kind of thick up top. I don't like that. Very uncomfortable to sit in, but standing is fine. I'll try to rotate this with my binder when I'm at home.

5 weeks of Recovery

Today marks 5 weeks. I'm still laying in the recliner, but I'm thinking I'm going to move back to my bed. I'm not suppose to lay on my side until after 6 weeks, but I am so tired of laying on my back in this chair. Im still wearing my binder throughout the day and night and my swelling isn't too bad at all.

One Month of Recovery

This week was my first week back to work. I worked a twelve hour shift on my feet about 98% of the time. My body was sore at the end of the shift, but that was a normal feeling even before the surgery. I thought I'd be very swollen, but I was flat the morning I got home. Luckily I'm only part time because of school, so I choose the amount of days I want to work. By the end of Wednesday I was over 16,000 steps for the day. I did a light jog and some walking lunges. I was feeling the soreness the next day. I try to make sure I listen to my body, so I try not to do too much. But I've always been an over achiever. Lol. I'm just ready to get back in shape. The extra fluid(seroma) is absorbing like my PS said it would. I still have some fluid left, but nothing close to before. I don't swell much at all. As long as I have my binder on correct, I don't really swell. It's only that extra fluid. I'm ordered to wear it for 6 weeks and then I'll probably buy a different compression garment. I haven't done any scar therapy yet, but I will here soon in the next week or so. It's pretty dark, but I'm not concerned about it. It looks a whole lot better than it did a couple weeks ago. Well ladies, I'll try not to go ghost and do more regular check ins. Following your roads to recovery really helps me on mine:)
