“I Will Soon Be Joining the "C" Club!!!! - Ohio”
Spent: $4,800 in Ohio
I have had extremely large breast every since I was in elementary. I am currently at a 38F and very uncomfortable with the size of my breast, as well as experiencing severe back, neck and shoulder pain. I was rejected for a breast reduction in 2003. I decided to go to a different surgeon and try again. This time my insurance approved it, and I am really excited to be having my surgery on March 2 at 1pm. I love reading the experiences on this site, they really help to calm my nerves. Two of my sisters have had this surgery as well. I guess you can say big breast is an inheritance in our family. I look forward to keeping you posted on my experience.

So I am getting closer to my sugery date. I received my paperwork from the hospital and that made me nervous. I set my quit smoking date for this Sarurday. That will be a challenge! I purchased nice pajamas and lounge wear that button up. I even bought some fun DVDs. I am getting really excited. I cant wait to toss the big bras.

Well one week away and I want to smoke so bad. Has anyone out there continued to smoke prior to surgery? I am going to just fight it!!! Anyhow, I am very excited, and cant wait to see my new boobs. I think I am going to have a bonfire with the old bras. I have not purchased any sport bras. My PS told me to hold off until He did the surgery and could better fit me. I cannot wait to get some sports bras. I could never fit into them before. I will post before and after pics after my drains are removed on 3/5.

Just days away and I am so excited, My surgery is on this Friday. I went for my pre-op with my MD today. I am doing good with my not smoking. I have been feeling great, but I was told that the cravings will really start after the surgery. I hope this is not true. Oh, I went to Barnes and Noble on Saturday and bought a few books to read while I am laid up. My surgery does not start until 1pm, I have to be there by 11am, on Friday. I plan on sleeping until 9:45am, since I cannot eat or drink, it will keep my mind off of a good cup of coffee.

Hello all. I feel great right now. I have been sleeping alot. Anyhow, my surgery went well today. What a huge difference. I am suppose to be a small c cup. I can see my stomach. Lol. The surgery took 2 hours. I recovered for 2.5 because i couldnt wakeup and when I did wake up, I was very sick with nausea and pain. The painis much better and I am in bed resting. I bought a pillow from Walmart with the arms on it for 12.88. It is really comfy and keeps me on my back. I also bought my button up pajamas from Walmart too. Make sure you were a hoodie to your surgery and sweats. I hope this helps those of you who are waiting for your date. I love my new look.

Had my post op appointment today. The drainage tubes were removed during this appointment and honestly, I really did not even feel them being taken out. My boobs are a little swollen, however they look great. I was very impressed when the bandages were removed. I am excited because I get to shower today (yay me). I am really constipated from the surgery, and just bought some exlax. I was advised to wear cami tops for the first 2 weeks, so I went to WalMart and bought a cami in every color. This is one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. I love it. See my pics.

2 weeks post-op. I feel great and I look great. My self esteem has went through the roof!!! I lost 3 pounds from the surgery. I will have my staples removed on Monday. Yay!!!! This was the best decision ever.

Also, I have one more thing to add. I HAVE NOT SMOKED IN 31/2 WEEKS AND I HAVE NO DESIRE TOO!!!!

I had my 2 week post op appointment today. Actually, I am two days over, however, Doctor informed me today that he removed 900 grams per side, thats a total of 1800. I knew I was huge but not that huge. Lol. Also, I had my staples removed and that was a relief. I was informed that the only thing I could do for the itching would be to take benadryl orally. I can begin to use vitamin E oil in 1 week. Whoo Hoo!!! I return to see Doctor in 1 month. I am ready to shop for some sexy colorful bras with matching undies now. Gonna be a little different wearing something other that black, beige and white. :-)

Hello, does anyone have a remedy to help with the itching??? I am 2 days shy of being 4 weeks post-op, my boobs look great, however they are peeling and itching like crazy. I have been using Vtamin E oil daily but wondered if anyone had any other ideas other than benadryl. Thanks.

It has been one month and 1 day since my surgery. Hard to believe this Friday will be 5 weeks since surgery. I am still not smoking and feeling pretty good. I am continuing to use my vitamin E oil that my PS recommended I use. The itching seems to be relieved with ice packs thanks to all who recommended that. I am just now able to sleep on my side, but I must have a pillow tucked under me. Other than that I am feeling fantastic. Please see pics.

Hello all! Haven't been on in a while, but all is well. I was so excited to be able to shop at Victoria Secrets! I actually can wear a 38D from there but I bought a few more bras that were a 38C! I am told that Vicky Secrets bras tend to run one size smaller. I believe that to be the case. I am really loving the new me other than, I now have a small pooch, thinking about a tummy tuck!

Dr. Han is excellent, he was on time and performed the surgery in 2 hours. After I was home for a few hours Dr. Han himself gave me a call to see how I was doing.

It was soo difficult I thought I was going mad. The week or so before the surgery is so stressful that I was crying at the slightest thing and not sleeping too well either.
I'm not saying this to scare you, just to reassure you that you are not going mad, it is possible, and now 8 months later I am still smoke free, have smaller boobs and am a great deal happier.
Dont be swayed honey, you will love the new you.

Hey Sherry. When I was quitting smoking there were times when I thought I'd never get through it. But I would convince myself to get through "THIS" craving and even though sometimes it was actually physically painful, I would just tell myself that I never wanted to feel like this again and if I started smoking again I would just have to try to quit at another time and I would feel this anxiety and pain all over again, but if I stuck it out I would never have to do it again. It took about a month to where I didn't think about it all of the time, but after that it got much easier. I know you can do it! And this surgery is the perfect reason to, smoking impairs your circulation which will slow down your healing, and smokers tend to scar more than non-smokers.
Good luck! I'll include you in my prayers tonight!
Good job not smoking! Sherry
I am not looking forward to having to stop smoking either, but I can if I must. Glad to hear you had a good experience!
