24 hours later

Hi Ladies,
It is now 24 hours later and I am doing so good. Consent was given by me prior to surgery that if the capsules needed to come out it was good by me. When I woke up exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes later (I looked at the clock as the anesthesiologist put the IV in) I knew all went well and didn't need capsules out. What a blessing...all prayers answered. I was home by 11:30 A.M. and surgery started after 9. No pain meds but extra strength Tylenol. I slept pretty good and just took a shower. I have the 'dents' on top of my breasts and I anticipated this. Tomorrow I am going to the store to get pads to fill out the dent so that I can wear my comfy sports bra until my skin shrinks some and fluff back. I know this will take many months. Sooooo glad I did this! What I am most surprised about is that I woke up this morning with no lower back pain, that is unusual for me. I'm a happy gal! My follow up is Monday morning. More next week!

My implant journey started in 1979, and will end...

My implant journey started in 1979, and will end in 3 days with my same PS! Its been over 35 years since my initial silicone implants by a young and very talented doctor. My original implants were removed and replaced with saline in 2003. I only had those in place a few years and started to have trouble with the seam cutting through my skin. In 2007 I had them replaced with the new silicone implants at that time and went a little larger to fill out any loose skin. I believe they are 450 cc's. I have been experiencing some medical issues that are not explainable. For many years I have been experiencing mostly tiredness, joint pain, intestinal problems and now severe pain under my left breast. the pain I am experiencing is when I lay down and the implant presses on something in my chest. Due to the pain which is never relieved when I lay down, I have gone back to my same doctor and had originally scheduled surgery for March 20th. Because the pain is increasing day by day I called my doctor today and rescheduled because they had a cancellation for this Friday, that is in 3 days! I am thrilled beyond belief that these two burdens that I have carried around for 35 years will now be gone. I cannot wait to be natural, I have nothing to prove to anyone anymore and I'm looking forward to being and feeling healthy again. It's been a long time since I have felt really good. I will post photos after the operation and hope and pray that I have good results! My PS is pretty sure I will only need the implants removed so hoping it's a slam dunk!

Dr. Ralston is and always has been wonderful and very kind. He is very thorough in explaining everything I needed to know, so I never had any doubt I was in good hands.
