On September 1st I had a breast augmentation, mini tummy tuck, and lipo suction. I have a 10 years old son, and left me with an ugly c section scar after the birth of him, so I went to see Dr. S for a mini tummy tuck to remove the ugly scar. Although the thought of having the surgery scared me, I was really more scared of not waking up from the anesthesia. So i decided to have multiple procedures done just to avoid future surgery. I was always flat chested. Wanting to have a bigger chest was in back of my mind but I had mixed feeling about getting fake boobs. I just wanted to make sure that I want them for me not for pleasing my husband like my mom did when she was in her 20’s. I'm 44 years old, 117lbs, 5'6" and 34AA. I had 275cc Mentor smooth round high profile gel silicone implants through Trans-axillary Incision on September 1, 2011. Total procedures for breast and abdomen were about 4 to 5 hours, and I went home with 2 abdominal Jackson Pritt drainage tubes. Pain? YES, is painful. I’m not going to lie. I took my pain med on scheduled (Percocet). This is something I don’t need to proof my bravery. I took the pain med for the next 4 weeks. Although I took the med lot less frequently as weeks gone by, I still occasionally have woken up with minor tightness to my breasts. I found relief with breast massages and that when your significant other comes into picture. I had more sex since the surgery than I had in my 20’s. I researched online on when is the good time to go back to having sex but can’t find a straight answer. Dr. S told me not to have strenuous activities for the next month after I came out of surgery. I figured as long as I’m not doing anything strenuous it was ok to have sex. I found that spooning position, where you lay on your side and he goes behind you, is the most comfortable position. Ok, then is the constipation from taken pain med that I have to address. Not a subject that people like to talk about but yes I was constipated. Colace did not work for me. 2 days after surgery I had no bowl movement; I had to find other way to get me going. I tried other over the counter. Mag citrate was giving me constant runs. I finally was using milk of mag every few days when I can’t go but once I stopped the pain med my bowl movement was back on scheduled. I mentioned that I want home with 2 drainage tubes one at each side of my pubic area below my mini TT incision site. Well I had my post Op checkup 7 days after surgery, I decided not to have my tubes removed for another week just cuz I was afraid of pain from removing the tubes and I saw that there were still blood mixed fluids drainage. Well these 2 tubes became my toy for more than 2 weeks after surgery. If I was watching TV in bed I would lay these tubes out in front of me just to see if there were any changes in the pouches. I was obsessed with them. I even trying to milk the tubes thinking it would drain more fluids out to the pouches. With tubing I did not take shower until after my first post Op. washing my hair was not possible because of my incision sites through Trans-axillary, I can’t really left my arms up, so I want out to salon for my shampoo and styling. After more than 2 weeks, I had my tubes out and it was painful. I screamed the first tube out, so he had to give my some lidicane injection to numb the area before he pulled out the second one out. Activities, well I’m the most inactive person that I’ve known. All I do all days was in front of TV or in front of computer. So of course I did not go out of house until the day before my one week checkup. I went out to get my hair done and just to walk around cuz it was a nice day. My stomach area felt really tight and swollen and my breasts felt heavy, I was not in the mood to do much at all. After 4 weeks of vegetate indoor I was just really depressed and constantly worried how my new boobs look with clothes. Is it too big or not big enough? I asked my hubby constantly. I still wear the sports bra for support and had not gone out to buy new bras yet. My breasts felt a lot softer and real, looking great in and out of clothes. I wanted a natural look and since I’m Asian I did not go for big size. Ok, after all cons, I have to say I would do it again in a heartbeat. It’s the best investment and improvement to me that I can think of. I don’t feel it’s a waste of money if you know your doctor.

Dr. Sung spends hours explaining in detail the whole process. very professional and courteous. I love his beside manner. I can ask any questions and not to be judged. He actually called me to see how I'm doing before my first post-op checkup. Great doctor. This was the second time I went to him. I had my eyes done few months prior and I love it.
