im 40 & have had 7 children ( 2 sets of triplets and a single pregnancy). i weigh 226 have finally decided to go ahead and have a tt with lipo including my flanks. i ahd 2 c-sections and the first was hard to recover from but the second was a whole lot easier. some women have compared having a tt to haveing a c-section. plan to do my upper arms, my inner thighs and breast modification in the future (if everything goes well). my biggest fear apart from the pain is death. i do have a big young family and would be difficult for everyone if i wasnt here raising my children. my surgery is scheduled on april 6!! any advice?

this is day 6 post op tummy tuck and lipo including the flanks. wow is it painful!! but worth it. i can already see a big difference!!! will have the drains in up to day 10 post op. have a lot of swelling. difficult to get comfortable. am wearing 2 girddles!!! thank god its not summer yet it would make it even worse and more uncomfortable. would love to take a shower but not allowed yet just quick sponge baths!! will post pics soon. for those that are waiting to make up there mind about this surgery - GO AHEAD AND DO IT!! the pain will subside eventually and then watch out world here we come!!!!!!!

its post op day 11 and i still have my drains in!! they dont hurt but scared one of my kids are going to pull them out by accident!! i stil have some blood discharge from the surgical site which is making me nervous!! still have pain but of course its less. the pain now is more like a burning on the surgical site. still numb all around my stomache. dont know how long that will last. i did finally get to wash up without showering. washing up feels so great!!! everyday gets better!!

My rating:

love dr. lee and his staff!! he is a very down to earth type of person that gets to the point without felling like your being pushed into something you dont want. he is very patient and answered all of my questions even the personal ones i asked out of plain nosieness!! he is compassionate. very knowledgeable and was not quick to get rid of you to take another patient. the surgical team were all so professional and friendly. i was very comfortable with all of them from the reseptionist all the way to the top - the dr himself. if your looking for a dr than dr. lee is your man!!!!

Oh my goodness you are a busy lady!  I hope that you have plenty of help with the kids for a couple of weeks after.  You are going to need it and be glad to have it.

Two more days and you will be on your way:)

I will be thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way on surgery day.  Post an update as soon as you are able.

Hugs

your so sweet, thank you for the good wishes!! you look fantastic!!! i helps to see the road you have travled after your tt. still hanging in there, of course the pain has gotten better but is still with me!! cant wait to have these drains removed!! its post op 11 days today and they are still in!! they are still draining fluid!!! hopefully by this week they will be out if not by the doctor by my kids!! ; ) have you thought of getting other procedures done?

Oh hey! I am one week today and doing great (except a little dry cough . . hurts !) Other than that my drains came out on day 3, no swelling whatsoever (knock on wood). Take your pain meds as needed . . . thats what they are there for. I never really had actual pain from the TT just a little soreness from the lipo, which is odd (but great ! ) Hope you start feeling better soon. Dont worry in six weeks . . it will be all good!! So glad I did it too! Take it easy.

six weks seems so far away!! but i know your right!! i gets better slowly. sounds like your experiance with your tt was great. i think when you are thinking about haveing something like this done it helps to read the experiances of other people to really make up your mind.
i agree - coughing really hurts. i actuaslly vomited twice after the surgery - talk about pain!! on the other hand i have mom here with me helping out with the kids and everything that comes out of her mouth makes me laugh!!! she is very funny, of course she doesnt do it on purpose but her interaction with the kids is like watch an old abott and costello film!!! i had to throw her out of my bathroom last night becaues i really thought i was going to burst all my stitches open!! gotta love mom!!
