Once around

Thank you. I wanted to correct myself above on the pricing which was my out of pocket for procedure , however the price was less than half of what other docs were asking and the results are beautiful. Good luck.

I had spoken to a few plastic surgeons about...

I had spoken to a few plastic surgeons about repairing my broken nose . Because the nose was already repaired 20 + years ago, it would be a 2nd nose job & therefore a little trickier than an original. There are scars & scar tissue to deal with, and of course whatever the original surgeon had done as far as cartilage & septum were concerned. The 1st surgeon I spoke to quoted me a whopping $11,500 to repair the nose. The 2nd surgeon wouldn't touch it for any money at all. When I spoke to Dr. Cenedese about the nose, we decided that the broken bone could be shaved down & that he could use extra cartilage inside to help straighten the tip. Since the tip didn't need to be cut & reconstructed, the cost was kept way down. I wasn't in need of an anesthesiologist because of the type of surgery we planned. This was a thrill to me for many reasons….the 1st being that I do not like the way I feel coming out of anesthesia & for days after it…..the 2nd is the added cost…..the 3rd is the added time. In the weeks leading to the surgery, I was mindful to keep my body prepped for what was about to happen. I ate well, exercised, took vitamins, bromelain, vitamin C & cut out anything that would sabotage a good outcome. ( smoking, drinking, aspirins, certain meds etc..all of which the doctor will go over with you.) I kept a good attitude & expected reasonable results, which I think is key to a good turn out….remember I went in for a repair, not to come out a supermodel.  There was good communication with the Dr. all the way through to our surgery date & beyond which is also key to success. On the day of surgery I was prepped with some medication & local anesthetics . The surgery began & as it turned out the nose was a bit of a mess inside & very challenging to repair. It had to be re-broken….A LOT!! I was give the option to call in the anesthesiologist to put me out for the surgery. I declined & we carried on with the surgery. I would not say this was a procedure for the faint of heart, but I continued because I know my limitations & was confident that with my high tolerance for pain & fascination with surgery….this would be no problem. It was no problem. It was strange to be a hazy part of it….the chisel & hammer breaking your nose as you lay there….the tugging & touching….the talking & decision making…..it was strange & fascinating. It was not painful….at all. My face of course looked like an anvil fell on it…but I promise you …there was no pain. I didn't so much as have an aspirin after this surgery. I went home with a lot of swelling & bruised eyes. The eyes weren't actually terrible, but there was a lot of swelling because the bridge of my nose was a monster to break. I avoided that poisonous , lethargy feeling of coming out of anesthesia too!! I iced my face all week long on & off. I lathered arnica gel upon my bruises & I ingested arnica pellets ( before & after surgery). I kept taking the bromelain.  There were no real restrictions on me after that. I looked awful but felt fine. I went about my life that week in a fairly normal fashion. I didn't wet the nose area, did not workout, did not make crazy movements around my face or bend over to let blood rush to my head. I used saline spray up the nostrils to keep them moist & comfortable.I stayed in for most of the week. Before I saw him on day 6, I went out to dinner with my cast face & grocery shopped. No one cared…& if they did….no one said. I saw the doctor after 6 days & he removed the mesh cast from the nose. The nose was corrected….sitting straight on my face for the first time in a very long while. I continued to ice the parts that remained swollen for the next week after the cast was off. I kept up with the topicals & arnica pellets too. The results are so nice. The surgery went well. Dr. Cenedese is a calm, conservative doctor. He has a clever wit that I always enjoy & besides being an incredible surgeon, he is genuinely kind person. He is straight forward & I never for a moment felt as though I was speaking to a used car salesman like some other offices I've been to. As a middle aged woman, I was so pleased to know that we were only discussing topics initiated by me. I would recommend Dr. Cenedese for anyone looking to repair or improve themselves . My results are lovely & natural . My experience with him & his staff was ( & still is ) terrific. They are calm, professional & compassionate people. They are well trained & good at what they do. I will be taking my daughter there next. The poor thing broke her nose recently in 2 places. I think that taking my child to him would have to qualify as being one of the greatest compliments ever. Thank you Dr. Cenedese for everything.
