I had my upper lids done inn 2007 while having my rhinoplasty by a great doctor in Manhattan. She in an ENT and facial PS. Surgery took place at Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. I was 42 at the time. I loved the result. She did not make me look like a deer in headlights. She took just the right amount of skin.
About a year later, I had to go to an ENT for tumor removal in my neck. (Since my orig surgeon didn't take my medical plan anymore.)After that surgery, I was speaking to him about my lower eyelids and later that year had an in-office, awake procedure done. Gave me valum and oxycodone to do the procedure. Was painless. Obviously, had a local injected in eye area. Not too bad. Loved the results as well. I do have thin skin under my eyes and am fair so I do have a small vein that is more prominent under my right eye, but probably just bothers me. As in any procedure, get a good physician and let them know what you want and don't want!
