Not Worth It
Spent: $6,000 in Tampa, Florida, USA
I am surprised at the lack of results. In November 2006 I had lipo to my jowls and neck, upper eyelids and lower face lift. The results in no way compare to what is advertised. I was given a valium before the surgery and I ended up going to sleep which was good. There were numerous shots and they were worse then the dentist's shots. I went to sleep while the doctor was doing the jowl lipo. I left the office with my head fully wrapped, pain meds and thank God a husband who was very supportive. There was a lot of bruising and swelling which I expected. Pumpkin head is a good description of how I looked. I followed all the prescribed after care procedures (ice, sleeping upright, soft foods/liquids, etc.) On my follow up with the doctor I shared that I was disappointed and he said the results varied. This surgery to me is like fast food - the commercials look good, but what you get is very different. I wish I had chosen more wisely. My sister had an outpatient, regular face lift with anesthesia and after care with a nurse by her side for 24 hours. My sister looks great. Suggestion: save your money for a regular face lift under a doctor's care! The bottom line - my neck still sags, the jowls are still there, but my eyes sure look better.

I feel the same as you, my eyes look good but not my face. You were lucky to have fallen asleep during surgery. It is the most traumatic experience I have ever been through. I have a high tolerance for pain but this procedure with all the needles and the sound of the lipo and feeling everything going on and knowing they had your skin pulled back and the burnt skin smell etc. HOrrible. I would never recommened this procedure. NEver!

Who was your doctor in Tampa?

Dr. Swerdloff was the surgeon. He did an excellent job cutting, but the results were not any where near what was advertised. There were a lot of negatives about the procedure. It really was like selling a hamburger and the follow-up was pitiful. Any normal practitioner would not have a good customer base with this kind of service.

i purposely said that I needed more valuim so that I would sleep through the procedure! I could still hear them cutting through my skin-gross sound!! And I could feel him tuggin as hard as he could on the stitches. What I would liike to know is why the cut under the chin is so big!!?? My incision for my gall bladdar is the same size? They are in such a hurry! Like soemone says-they are a McDonalds for face lifts-do not go! Save you money and go somewhere else! IT is soooo worth it!
