Scars hardly showing now and I hardly massage any more. Maybe once a week.
One year on
I couldn't be happier!! There is no such thing as true symmetry and with my thickened skin this is the best I can get, but I look great and feel great and lately I have had tingles and pain around both breasts so this means sensation is returning gradually! Yay! Soft as anything they jiggle now and I can push them together in a good push up bra. Couldn't do that 6 months ago! Pleased. Appointment booked next Thursday for my follow up.
3 months on...
Things are very comfortable now. I get some discomfort on the left breast now and then but have stopped massaging now for 2 weeks and that seems to have helped. The scars are healing nicely and although the left one will never be on the crease I think, I am extremely happy with my result! They were never going to be symmetrical due to the thickened skin but I think I notice this more than others so it is not really a problem. I may go back for a follow up in a few months as 'bottoming out' can be seen/corrected at the 6 month point (however minor it is). All my friends know now and most of them have seen! At one house party I just kept my bra off so it was easier to lift up my top when the next person asked "let me have a look"! I have purchased my first ever wonderbra and a low cut dress, which I am wearing to a wedding tomorrow. I have felt a few sharp pains around my nipple in the right breast so thinking this may be the nerves growing back and hopefully soon I will regain sensation in the nipples. I can now feel under the breasts and around the scars so I am hopeful for full return of sensation. As you can see from the pictures, the belly has slimmed a lot too! :)

Mr Adrian Richards. He was recommended to me through my GP and is well known online. He made a good first impression and I found him very personable. He makes himself publicly known with videos and on television programmes I have seen him correct operations that went wrong,which is promising. Mr Richards had knowledge of both scarring and breasts. He is registered and has many years practice. His clinic is Aurora and I found the staff there all really friendly and approachable and not at all pushy as I could have as many appointments as I needed to make the right decisions.
