Invisalign: Stories

I have been wanting to get braces for a number of years now. However when I was younger, I never had the confidence to go ahead and have traditional braces. This did not bother me too much until in recent years and I have now come to regret not getting my teeth sorted out. I now work full time and in a long term relationship meaning that traditional braces were not really an option as I would not be at all confident.


Luckely I heard about Invisalign back in June 2010 and went for my first consulation. I was quoted £4200 pounds and this really put me off.
I continued looking around for prices and was recently quoted £2700 - this was all inclusive (after care, teeth whitening etc etc
)...I decided to go ahead with the treatment and went for my first appointment in October 2011 which involved taking the models/pictures of my teeth. My dentist has since then been tweaking the treatment plan and suggested it would beneficial if I had to two teeth extracted. I went in yesterday 29th November 2011 to have the teeth extracted and have rebooked by next appointment on the 15th December 2011 to recieve my first set of alligners.
I have added a picture of the final clincheck the dentist and myself decided to go ahead with. I will continue updating with my progress and add more pictures when I get some more time.

Finally my advice to anybody looking at getting invisalign is:

Look around for prices

Make sure you find out what is included

Dont push your dentist when they are making adjustments to your clincheck as this only saves complications at the end of your treatment.
