Bruising

Tips on keeping the bruising at bay? Got some real nasty yellow bruises above and around my nipples. And some blueish bruising around the sides of my bottom incisions. Just wondering if there was anything I could take or eat or put on them that could help?

Feeling better!

Only taking extra strength tylenol when needed now. Sleeping is still an issue :( I sleep best on my sides and while I can sleep on my sides now with I guess I'd say minimum pain it still just feels very strange to me and I haven't been getting much sleep without some breaks in between. Doc says I'm healing great and I have to keep my ace bandage wrapped around me until I see him next monday. My boobs better keep it together literally because I really want this bandage to come off next Monday. It's so tight and annoying. I'm liking the size more I think I got a really good look at them when I took a bath, even though when all is said and done I think I'll be a B and I would rather be a C I still just don't know yet and probably won't for a while. My surgeon said yesterday that I was still swollen and I know that will probably last for a while I'm just wondering exactly HOW swollen I am and how much they will go down because I do truly love the size they are at now. Oh yeah another question for you guys, showering. I still haven't fully got my incisions and steri strips wet yet like in the shower I've only taken a bath and I feel like at this point they probably really need to be cleaned and all the dried blood washed away but I'm scared! I don't want it to hurt too much and I want to make sure they are fully dried afterwards with a blow dryer. Any tips or tricks for showering and drying? And what would happen if the steri strips ended up not drying completely on accident?

Holy ouch and sleepiness batman

Surgery is now behind me. Was pretty scary overall as it was my first time under anesthesia. I smelled the gas afterwards for a good 2 days which wasn't fun. Now I'm in a constant state of dulled down pain and sleepiness due to the vicodin which I can only take 1 at a time because 2 makes me feel a little crazy pants. Today marks day 2 maybe 3 if you count friday when I came home around 4pm and thank the lord for my loving caring fiancé because I can hardly do anything on my own. Right now I'm having the hardest time sitting up on my own because it hurts when I put pressure on my arms, is this normal and when will I be able to sit up on my own? I'm gonna attempt a bath later, he's excited to sponge bath me haha! And my next follow up is tomorrow at one to see how my bleeding doing, I didn't need tubes put in just gauze pads in my surgical bra and wrapped pretty tight ace bandage around. Possibly the worst part because I feel like I can't breath sometimes but it's to help keep my boobs in place in the front of me. So I guess my main question to you guys is how long did your pain last and I mean pain that you would need to take vicodin for rather than just tylenol or something? And when were you able to start moving around on your own more?
