I was prescribed Retin-A to clear up some issues I've had with problems of the skin that pop up due to hormones. Within a week it completely changed the color/texture of the skin on my face. My doctor said to wait it out as these are normal side effects- ("it will get worse before it gets better") -but this was not the case for me. After two months of Retin-A my skin had completely taken a turn for the worse. It was red, sore, & dried it out to the extent that I could not even wear moisturizer without being in severe pain. I think it could be beneficial to those with extreme cases of acne/oily skin- but other than that I would highly recommend taking less invasive routes first.
