I had considered a nose job and/or boob job for...

I had considered a nose job and/or boob job for the last 20 or so years and finally decided that in my mid-thirties I'm not getting any younger and to go for it. I made the decision in my mind that I was going to do it but part of me thought that I was a crazy person to go ahead with plastic surgery. I researched doctors extensively and the only doctor I was truly comfortable with was Dr. Sajjadian.

I couldn't decide which procedure (nose or breasts) was more important to me so I decided to do both at the same time. My nose was very projected and I had a very noticeable bump... plus my right nostril was essentially closed and I was unable to breathe well on my right side. Also, after a cat scan, I learned that I had a very deviated septum and issues with my turbinates. My surgery was a septoplasty and rhinoplasty. As for my breasts, they were very small and very asymmetrical (an A cup or less on one side and a A/B cup on the other side). I was probably more bothered by the difference in size than how small they were -- but I have been very self-conscious about my chest for years, especially in swim suits.

The surgery itself was over 5 hours and the recovery was very hard. I don't think the procedure for each procedure alone would have been terrible but the combined recovery was very difficult. The biggest issue with the nose recovery is that it's so uncomfortable and annoying -- you can't breathe through your nose and my nose was constantly dripping for a week (I was changing gauze pads every hour). I also got very swollen despite doing everything possible to prevent swelling (including buying the rhino recovery kit from makemeheal). I looked like a zombie from Walking Dead. The first 2 weeks post-surgery were very hard. My nose discomfort was much worse than my breasts -- I mostly focused on my nose recovery and the breasts were kind of an after thought. They were mostly noticeable when I had to reach for something or do something like open a water bottle and I would have severe, sharp pain, but generally I thought the breast recovery wasn't nearly as bad as the nose. I was also worried that it would be bizarre to have implants in my chest but from the day after surgery it surprisingly has not bothered me at all and I am very comfortable with my new breasts.

I am now roughly 8 weeks post-surgery and I would say I am now almost (90%) recovered. I am super happy with my results and think it was all well worth it! My nose is perfectly straight and I now have 2 symmetrical, open nostrils. My result is very natural looking -- I don't have a "nose job" nose. I still have a pretty strong nose, which I think looks good on me considering I am very tall. I have gotten many compliments -- I look a lot like my old self just prettier. And while I used to be very embarrassed about my side profile, I am now totally confident in being viewed from the side. I am also super happy with my breasts (I ended up getting a 400cc in one side and a 500cc in the other side) and they look great. I am very happy and can't wait to be 100% recovered (and able to wear sunglasses again in one more month) and enjoy this summer!

Dr. Sajjadian was wonderful from the outset! He was the only surgeon that I interviewed who I felt truly comfortable with. From my first meeting with him, I was totally comfortable and thought he was fabulous! However, choosing the perfect doctor was very important to me so I kept meeting with (and interviewing) other doctors and the more doctors I met with the more I realized that Dr. S was the best doctor for me. I found Dr. S on realself while I was given personal references to other surgeons in Newport Beach. I gave the personal references a lot of weight and was highly skeptical of finding my surgeon through the Internet... however, Dr. S blew the other doctors out of the water -- he was the most professional, knowledgeable and kind. And there was something very trustworthy about him that I didn't get from the other doctors. I was very very worried about choosing a doctor that would be attentive pre-surgery and ignore me post-surgery (especially if I had any post-surgery complications). There was something about Dr. S that made me know that he would take good care of me during surgery and post-surgery and that has been exactly the case. Dr. S has been super responsive -- he encourages a lot of post-surgery check-ups and whenever I've had a problem (I had a few little minor things in the first month) I've been able to come into his office almost right away and see him. He really is the best! I also was skeptical about how amazing all his online reviews are... but as he told me they are of course not fake and now that I've had my surgery I can attest that he is truly an amazing doctor and I believe all the reviews! I am so happy I found him and I would highly recommend him!
