In researching Plastic surgeons, I came across Dr William Andrade and my attention was immediately drawn to his work and professionalism. He is Board Certified and has full hospital privileges at Southlake hospital in Newmarket. He personally responded to my request for a second opinion/consultation and advised me to call his office to book an appointment. The secretary was very kind and professional and I was scheduled for an appointment without any time delay. When I arrived at his office, he personally greeted me in the reception area with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. He then gathered additional information and also attentively listened as I described my experience and the reason for seeking a second opinion. He then proceeded with his examination and did so ever so gently. He provided a thorough explanation of his assessment in a non rushed manner. He took the time to listen to all my concerns and provided appropriate and realistic answers to all of my questions. Dr Andrade also provided health teaching and rationale for his assessment which I found to be extremely comforting and reassuring. He is a very kind, caring and empathetic individual. His years of experience were very much evident in his practice and his overall comportment was extremely professional. One of my professors once said in a lecture “ people may forget what you do for them, but they will never forget the way you make them feel”. Years later, I apply these words to my experience with Dr Andrade. Although my results (from a different surgeon) are disappointing and not ideal, I took comfort in his teaching and now have a better understanding of my situation. His individualistic care is second to none. I only wish I could reverse the hands of time, for if I could, I would have had my original procedure performed by him. Dr. Andrade, I thank you immensely for the peace of mind you have given me and I wish you all the best in your expanding practice.
