Bilateral Radical Mastectomies Followed by Immediate Breast Reconstruction-Gives New Hope & Future to Single Mom - Newmarket, ON

In December 2010 Dr Andrade gave me and my family an incredible gift. It was a gift that was full of self acceptance and hope. Having been diagnosed with breast cancer and being a single Mom of three incredible boys, I was overwhelmed and unsure of what procedures where ahead of me. Dr Andrade was professional, easy to understand, thorough and a perfectionist. Having to remove both of your breasts in my opinion is an amputation of oneself. The part of you that nurtured your newly born children had turned against you and now were toxic. Dr. Andrade was meticulous in describing the procedure to me, which to a cancer patient is ideal because when your routine life is seemingly out of control you need to know that the hands of the person you will be taking care of your body are confident and trustworthy, Dr Andrade was exactly that person. I am now almost 5 yrs post op. I had chemotherapy and radiation post surgery and my silicone gel implants are incredible. I feel confident as an attractive woman and when I look in the mirror I smile. I am thankful for the confident and effective actions of a plastic surgeon who, given the circumstances made the experience and results better than I could have imagined.
