I have always wanted breast augmentation. I am 33...

I have always wanted breast augmentation. I am 33 years old and had two children which I breast fed. I was never big in size, 34/A. I have an average frame (5"6" 137 lbs) and wanted a natural look. I went through with the surgery and opted for 400cc silicone implants placed under the muscle. This was one of the best decisions I could have made.

Before choosing Dr. Roland, I did tons of research, viewed at least 50 websites for before and after photos and went on 3 consultations. When reviewing Dr. Roland's before and after photos and liked ALL of them, I decided he was a surgeon I wanted to consult with. Dr. Roland was the first doctor I spoke to. His office was busy, waiting room had lots of patients, phones were ringing. To me this was a good sign. Dr. Roland and his staff made a wonderful first impression. He advised me what to expect and answered all of my questions. The thing that helped me with my decision the most was the fact that one of his staff was a former patient. She too had breast augmentation done by Dr. Roland. She showed me her end result and I knew immediately that he was the doctor for me. I went on two more consultations after that but found my way back to Dr. Roland.

Before the surgery I went back to his office for sizing. I explained to him exactly what I wanted (natural, full but not over the top) and those were the results he gave me. I have a professional career and did not want them to be too noticeable at work, I can hide them when I want to. I am now 2 months post Op and I am wearing a 36C - 36D based on the cut and brand of the bra.

What to expect:
The first two days were awful especially the first 24 hours. I was sick from the anesthesia throwing up. I could not go to the bathroom without help, could not get out of bed without help, pain was extremely bad. I would rate it a 10 on a scale of 1 - 10. My chest felt heavy like I got hit by a ton of bricks, I was swollen and full of air. My right hand and arm felt numb. My husband was able to call Dr. Roland on his cell phone. He was always available and always called us right back. Dr. Roland and his office also called frequently to check on me. Sitting and sleeping elevated was uncomfortable but I survived it. I had to wear a surgical bra and velcro band around the top of the chest. This was required for 1 month.

Around the 3rd day, I was moving about the house. I was still in a lot of pain and not able to lift my arms but I was finally out of bed. I was VERY swollen, when I pressed on the skin between my chest it made a squishy sound. Looking at my breasts one looked larger than the other and one was higher than the other. I was nervous about this. I had tape on the lower portion of my areola but not much bruising. Dr. Roland assured me the breasts would settle evenly and not to worry. I took his word and sure enough they settled perfectly.

I returned to work 1 week after surgery. I could not lift anything heavy and felt a little uncomfortable.

After the second week the majority of the swelling went down and breasts began to look more even but still very firm and hard. Tape came off, breasts very shiny and itchy. Still required to wear surgical bra and velcro band.

After 1 month post op I would say that implants started to feel like they belonged on my body. I never experienced the "boobie blues" which I have ready about by other patients. There was maybe 2 or 3 days in which I was upset or felt like I wasn't certain I made the right decision. That passed real quick. Now that I am 2 months post op I can say the results are FANTASTIC. Scarring in minimal. Breasts look and feel so natural. I don't even think about them anymore. I am back at the gym and feel great.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Roland for his professionalism and expertise. I can also say he was very personable and made me feel comfortable throughout a not so comfortable and personal experience. His staff was phenomenal, 2 thumbs up!! If you are looking for an awesome, surgeon you should definitely consult with Dr. Roland. You will not be disappointed. He is skilled in his professional and will give you the results you wish to achieve.
