1 Week Post MiraDry Treatment #1

I am exactly one week and 2 days post treatment and all i can say is WOW. I am beyond happy with results. My sweating has reduce about 70-80% since doing this procedure. My armpits are still swollen and I am still icing at least twice a day. I have not been taking any pain killer but now I am having some discomfort on the upper portion of my pit, I guess the numbness is leaving because the pain is more like raw skin on skin.I barely have any armpit hair which is a plus. I am beyond satisfied at this point and I am looking forward to my results after my second treatment.

I have been suffering with Hyperhidrosis from the age of 10. Like most of you it has been a horrible experience. As I got older i learned that hyper has a lot to do with anxiety. The more you think of it the more you may sweat.
I am lucky enough to work with a surgeon who also specializes in Hyperhidrosis and has been performing Mira Dry for the last 2-3 years. I have been in the practice for about a year and have been contemplating about doing the procedure since he offered it to me. It's little different when your the one assisting the doctor and know the in and outs about the procedure then just being a patient that has no clue.
Finally i took him on his offer and its been 1 day post Mira dry treatment #1. My Dr was the one that performed the procedure since he had no one else to assist him with it. Going in I was most nervous about the injections as this is the MAIN thing patients complain about especially men. We started the injection part and it wasn't was bad as I expected. Once he started to do the treatment it was a breeze felt NOTHING and within 40 min I was done. I immediately iced both pits as all i can think about is coming to work the next day and my ability to help around.
Once the procedure was over noticed some swelling but i was still able to drive home. My drive home is about 30 min, once getting upstairs I started to feel a stinging burning sensation on my right armpit. I immediately took 2 Motrin 400mg, couple of hours past and no pain relief. I had then been icing every 30min for 15-20 min intervals. By 10pm I took another 3 Motrin 400mg and I was still in pain a pain that was not excruciating but kept me up at night. Tossing and turning until about 3 a.m and i finally decided to take a Percocet I had lying around. I felt immediate relief right after taking it and quickly went to bed (i am still not sure how safe that was). 6:30 a.m and i am up throwing up all those meds from the night before, pale and shaky. While at work, after eating breakfast and throwing up 3 times I started feeling myself again. The swelling to me is little extreme, I can not drop my arms all the way as the swelling keeps them elevated. I left work at noon and have been icing since. Thankfully the pain is gone and my swelling has reduce a great amount.
As for sweating! I have not felt wet all day but it is still to early. I am hoping and praying I continue to go in the right direction. I will be scheduling to do my second treatment in about 3-4 months.

I WILL KEEP YOU ALL INFORMED IN ABOUT A WEEK ON MY PROGRESS, AS OF NOW I AM OVERLY EXCITED!
