Reduced from 36DD to 46C - No Nipple Sensation Yet

My treatment experience was good. I did the surgery because I had back and shoulder pain. I was sent home the same day of the surgery but was out of work for 2 weeks. When I went back to work I was very careful not to lift anything that was heavy and I used to walk slowly so not to strain my breast. Now I feel much better.

I had a breast reduction 3 months ago. My breast were reduced from a 36DD to 36C and I am happy with the results. My question is that I still don't have any sensation on my nipples yet and I want to know how long will it take for that to happen. I also feel that my breast are still healing because they still hurt a little. When will they completly heal? Thank you, Maureen

Hi Stels86,
My surgery was covered by my health insurance. Speak to your regular doctor first if you have health insurance.

Hello Maureen, Relax and enjoy your new breasts. Healing will take 6-12 months and you will continue to feel"twinges" inside your breasts. Nipple sensation can improve up to two years after surgery. Your best help in discussing your questions and concerns is the surgeon who operated on you. Good luck
