Hi ladies, I'm so excited I've found this site! I'm 32 years old, got married at 20 and had my first son at 21. I gained over 60 pounds which left me with alot of stretch marks and the mama pooch! After my second son my stomach looked even worse. I feel young and preety still I just want a little extra help in my body area.. No amount of exercise or diet can help! So I'm finally taking the plung and going for it! I've wanted this for as long as I can remember. This is going to be such a wonderful positive change in my life, I'm so glad I have a loving and supportive hubby!! Thanks for following my journey

I am getting my boobs done with 400 cc mentor silicone and a cresent nipple lift on my right breast. It droops alittle bit more than my left side.I'm also getting a full tummy tuck with lipo on my flanks. I'm 5'9" , 152 pounds and a 36 B Sorry I forgot to mention all that:)

I'm headed to the pharmacy to fill my Rx's. My Dr. perscribed Lovenox, its a anticoagulant drug sometimes know as a blood thinner. I guess it's an added protection against DVT.. which im very happy to take but I inject it myself after surgery for 5 days. Has anyone else used this?

I think the first 48 was the roughest! So far I love what I see my hubby just changed my bandages and tightened my garment.. So I got a peek at my belly. Holy crap it's so flat and tight!! The scar looks very low and I'm draining less and less! I wish it was easier to post pictures from my phone so when I have more strength I'll get some up! Talk soon :)

Hi girls, I have a question im wanting to take a shower but how do u handle a shower with the drain still in? Will the soap hurt it?

Updated on 9 Jan 2012:
Hi girls, 5 days post op and I'm feeling better everyday. What a trip this has been seriously waiting till I can get back to some normal activities! I did finally take a shower yesterday. I felt woozy when I had my binder off but the hot water felt so amazing on my beat up body! I also had a good cry over something stupid so emotions definitely mess with you. There's quite a few up and down moments! But it's easy to remind myself how lucky and happy I'm going to feel when this is over! I've pretty much weaned myself off Percocet and tynelol has taken its place. But Soma has been the most help:) good stuff! I have an appt tomorrow so maybe I'll get my drain out? It's been around 20cc or less over 24 hrs.. IDK that would be sweet! Oh yeah I forgot to mention I did get the ONQ pain pump and thank god I did..couldn't imagine what the pain would of been like without it, so worth the money!! Hope everyone's doing great:)

Hi ShellBell!
I'm going to be on lovenox after my surgery too, because I have a history with blood clots. Had one in my last pregnancy, was on lovenox for like, 10 months or so. The shots weren't bad, I guess I got used to them. It burns a little going in, but it's far from unbearable. I was doing mine every 12 hours. Only thing, they were supur expensive (approx. 50-100 bucks a shot). Insurance covered mine last time, I don't know about this time. Whether they cover it or not, I'll be more than happy to take it if it provides me extra protection! :)
But yeah, after a couple times, the injections are a breeze. I had to put mine in my tummy, but when it got too big (my 6th month preggers?) I went for the thighs. Guess that may be where I have to put it...won't be enough skin to pinch after the tummy tuck! :)
ShellBell79 27 Dec 2011
Thanks Molly for your encouragement!!
ShellBell79 27 Dec 2011
I was wondering Monique about putting the shot in my belly. Hopefully there will be no skin or fat for me to pinch:) yikes hopefully insurance will cover a decent amount but if not that's cool! I will pay for piece of mind for sure!! Thanks for your response

Ugh... I hate shots! They make me sooo nervous... How long did Dr. Guerra make you take them? Is that standard for everyone or were there medical conditions that required these shots? I feel dizzy just thinking about it... LOL!
ShellBell79 14 May 2012
Seriously I hate shots too.. I think he makes it standard for all Mommy Makeovers. I have no previous medical conditions. I did one shot a day in my thigh for 8days.. Or I should say my hubby did them for me;) they do burn a little but weren't that bad. Make sure you stick to the upper thigh area and pinch a good amount of skin and fat.. You don't want to hit a nerve ouch!!
luvmybabies 15 May 2012
... the things I worry about... LOL! I'm not all that concerned over the pain that comes from surgery, I had my last baby with no epidural, but shots! LOL! That's a whole different story for some reason.. hahaha

ShellBell..good luck on your upcoming surgery! It is soooo worth it! Really not that bad! I was amazingly surprised at how easy it was. I am 11 days post op and I am feeling great! This site is amazing... dont think I would have actually done it with out all these wonderful ladies! Feel free to ask any question.. excited for you!
ShellBell79 28 Dec 2011
Thanks Angela! I saw your pictures, I must saying very very inspiring!! Seriously know what you mean about waves of emotions! Just when I'm feeling like yes so confident I can do this! The next minute I'm scared to death thinking what if something bad happens:( but ladies like you help push me to do this!! You mentioned in one of your post, that the Dr gave you less drugs to put u under. I was wondering how they figure that out? Maybe monitoring How fast you fall asleep? I just like the idea of less I guess. Thanks again and also congrats to you too!!
