Mixto Resurfacing. Nashville, TN

Just a quick review of my continued satisfaction with my Mixto Resurfacing. I continue to get compliments and my skin continued to improve. I do take extra care and always moisturizer and use sun screen. I use SPF 50 Obagi on my face and neck. I just returned from the Dominican Republic and even with the 50 received a healthy glow but no damage. I was questioned at the Customs counter because I looked so much younger than my passport picture taken years ago. It was a flattering "delay". I truly recommend Dr. Melissa Toyos if you decide on the Mixto. She has the right staff and equipment to insure your satisfaction. Picture below is this morning 3/2016. Wanted to update my review with some post op information. Although the burn and peeling days are "scary", I was prepared from the pictures from the Doctor's office and from what I saw on the Realself site. For the first 4-6 days I used a combination of vinegar (1tsp) and water(1 cup) on my skin to balance the PH naturally. I used a fine mister water bottle and just sprayed on. It is very soothing. There was the same amount of discomfort that I would have if I fell asleep on the beach on a hot sunny day. . I slept on my back because I didn't want to rub the skin, but just let it heal on its own time. The peeling started in about 3 days and then I switched to moisturizer. I was given that from Dr. Toyos. Toyos Clinic has their own brand and as it turned out I like it better than the C Obagi I used prior to the treatment. After about 2 weeks I was on a regimen of hydroquinone cream in the evening and clobetasol for daytime for 3 weeks. I didn't use any type of tinted moisturizer or foundation durng that time. I rather enjoyed my new "dewy natural" look. Now 5 weeks later I will start using some Bare Minerals tinted moisturizer with SPF 30 to protect my skin from future sun damage and I use moisturizer every evening. The main advice is patience, patience, patience. I had the procedure done on Wednesday and hid out in the house through the first weekend. The following Wednesday I ventured to the grocery store and the 10 day shot is me going out to dinner. Everyone is different,but I didn't want any questions so decided to hide out. My eyelids and skin were still a little puffy at 10 days, but wearing eye makeup easily hid that. I will add some extra pics in a few months to show you the difference of the collagen renewal as months go by.

My experience with Dr. Melissa Toyos and her staff was professional and caring. Time was spent on what to expect and what not to expect. There was no hard sale but just honest information. Although there was some anxiety, the procedure went quite well. By using the numbing cream and a Valium tablet I really had just minimal pain. The procedure took only about 40 minutes. The results have been incredible. I was told about 10 years of aging would be removed. I am not disappointed . I went through about 4 to 5 days of ugly time and now I look forward to four or five years of pretty time. Below are some pics . I am only at about six weeks into this and I am told it will just get better and better. I get compliments on my skin every day and no one suspects that I am 64 years old. Except for some eye makeup and lip gloss, the pictures below depict my skin in the "raw" - no foundation only moisturizer.
