Two years ago, I did my tummy in South Africa...

Two years ago, I did my tummy in South Africa because my parents live there and it's very cheap to do there (900 US dollars). The procedure went really well, it hurt but wasn't bad at all. I was sore for a few days but I walked for 30 minutes a day and drank tons of water like they advised, and saw results verg quickly.

Then I was put on anti-depressants and you can all guess what happened next... 15 pounds all over the place!

My mom said I could try again here in the US, but this time I have to maintain it - and as a reward I can do my thighs and hips when I return to South Africa where she lives.

So this morning, the only thing I did differently was take a xanax because I remembered how uncomfortable it was and was very nervous. The technician confirmed that this was okay to do. It wasn't.

My sister has vasovagal which means she passes out and feels nauseous due to lowered heart rate all the time. Xanax lowers your heart rate - but none of this came together until I was sweating and about to throw up/pass out within 5 minutes of the large applicator on my lower abdomen.

I had to give up, I couldn't take it. Not to mention these silly people had me sitting up as opposed to laying down like I was the first time. You're supposed to raise a faint person's feet above their heart and for godssake shut up because talking makes it worse. (I know this because of my amazing and strong sister.)

So, because I gave up, no cost. But it would have been $1500 US. I decided to get it all done when I go back to South Africa to someone I trust.

Moral of the story:
Don't take xanax. Your own adrenaline will keep you in much better hands.
Don't let them sit you up if you're prone to passing out
Eat and sleep enough before (I may not have)

I'm really disappointed and sad because I was very excited since I saw GREAT results last time. I just wish the people I'd seen today knew what they were doing. I had to learn all of the above myself.

*********I want to try again soon. If anyone else has any tips please tell me!!**********

Very nice but uninformed on the basic workings of the human body. She said someone did the same thing yesterday and I don't feel she should continue this procedure unless she learns how to do it properly. The fainting feeling, I know now, could have been completely avoided. Dr. Hasen did not do the procedure and this is not a critique on him or his employees, they were are VERY nice. Just not aware of what to do when someone feels faint.
