This would not just be my first elective surgical procedure but first ever surgical experience.
The procedure went extremely well. The nursing staff that accompanied me home and stayed for the first 24 hours was reassuring for both me and my wife.
Pain was minimal and completely controlled with the prescription pain medication. Within 48 hours I no longer required any pain meds. Though I felt nearly 100% after the first 48 hours, I did follow to the letter the post op. instructions and took it very easy for the first week. Stitches were removed after a week and I began to resume my normal work out schedule.
The procedure included 3 treatments with the resident Aesthetician after the first week of healing. The treatments were wonderful. I can see why women so enjoy a facial.
As predicted, I experienced some minor bruising within the first week which shortly resolved. The healing process was completely uneventful. Suture removal was painless.
For anyone considering correcting the damage that age and gravity has done, I would say go for it! Friends who don't know what I had done tell me "Wow you lost some weight". None would suspect I had "Some Work done". And even if they did, who cares. You are never too old to feel good about yourself. The kids are grow. Time for you.

Having spent my entire career in the Health Care field, I can honestly say that Dr. Turk and his staff are one of the most professional, caring and attentive I have ever encountered. From the front desk to the nursing staff to the Aesthetician, I would be hard pressed to find a fault. Dr. Turk has a professional, relaxed and comfortable bed side manor. He is unhurried in his treatment presentation and answered every question and concern I had. The inclusion of 24 hour nursing care at home after surgery was a great comfort to me and my wife. I also liked that Dr. Turks office is within Physicians Regional Hospital so all those resources are close at hand. I would recommend Dr. Turk with out reservation.
