“My Six-month Restylane Routine”
Posted 9 Mar 2007
I have been going to my plastic surgeon for Restylane lip injections twice a year for the past two years. The injections last about six months so I don’t need to go more than that, and I love the fullness and pronounced look that Restylane gives me. I also have Restylane injected in the fine lines at the corners of my mouth sometimes, but infrequently and I do let that maintenance slip a bit because it’s not as important to me (I have fine lines in lots of places so it’s pretty much whenever I can get a discount or am in the mood).
I get most of the CCs in my top lip because it’s very thin and weak so it needs some help! I’m not necessarily going for that pouty schoolgirl look either but just the definition to my lips.
The worst bit about Restylane is the local injections to numb the area first. I wish they could just skip them because they are bigger and they hurt worse than I’d imagine the Resty needles do.
I’m always on the lookout for permanent lip fillers but haven’t come across one that I like yet. I like Restylane and I also like the look it gives but I would very much like to make that a permanent look. Unfortunately there’s nothing like that available in England at this time, at least nothing I would consider doing. I don’t mind waiting and going for more Resty in the meantime – I love my Resty appointments and look forward to them now! It’s the only cosmetic procedure I recommend to people.
