My First Treatment With Fig

I had my first lower ab treatment on Friday the 20th. The shots didn't hurt, however after the medicine started to fill in I did however start to feel really hot but that went away in a few minutes. I bought a girdle as suggested to help keep the swelling in. I didn't take them off until Sunday morning. I did things as usual over the weekend and didnt' feel 100% but wasn't feeling like I couldn't do anything either. I did take Tylenol 2 before the shots. My next appt is Aug 3rd and I was going to do both love handles and lower abs but I think I am just going to do the lower abs after reading all these things. I went to the Houston/Galleria location and the staff is really great - has anyone else been there?

Great review?

Yes I was wondering if anyone has gone to the Dallas Areaa offices and if there are any other locations in the area? I just saw the ad on tv last night and it seems too good to be true. I wanted to do some research before making an appointment with them. ~itsjustdee
Do a search from Lipodisolve and Dallas. That's what I did for the Houston area. ~SLA

has anyone gone to Dallas Texas and had this done? If so , what prices are they quoting? I am 5'4" , 125, and have some areas that will not go down with weight loss. thanks
Yes, I went for a consultation at the Northpark clinic. They quoted me 4400 for upper and lower abs. I'm also 5'4" and 125 lbs. The stupid thing I did was get all wrapped up with the sales pitch and decided to do it. It wasn't until after I got home when doing some research and reading about some of the bad results that I changed my mind. I called them and told them that I had opted not to have the treatments and they said it was a done deal and I couldn't get my money back. I am going to disput the charge on the Care Credit card which they charged in full before I left the place. I am so disappointed and feel so foolish for getting sucked in. I'm not saying the procedure isn't good, I just didn't want to risk it. I'm 58 years old and in really good health, excercise daily and just don't think I want to chance anything this late in life. Good luck to you and please do your research before you go and beware of the sales hipe.
Oh yes, I did have bruising - yellow, purple swollen love handles girl!!! I am going on a cruise in Sept and to Jamaica in October - so I am wearing a 1 piece on my cruise so no one will see the bruising and the swelling. I will go one week and 1 day for treatment before departing but still want to be on the safe side. My last treatment is 2 weeks before my wedding -so I prob didn't make the best decision in doing this now, but wanted to lose weight now and this is why I did it now. All I got to say is that it better work!
I just got in from my consultation at Dr. Vitenas office. I am so going to make the 100 mile round trip to have my procedure done there. Very professional, very informative, gave me handouts on what to do before and after the procedure and showed me pictures of before and after patients..even Dr. Vitenas. The cost is $250 per visit which means you can pay as you go OR pay $1000 up front for 4 treatments and get one free. Anita, who is the administer of the of the shots said that they are a bit more agressive than most when administering the shots therefore, you shouldn't need as many sessions. Anyway, I am so sorry you paid as much as you did. I hope it does work for you as I hope it works for me. I'm going to try to go in Thursday for my first session so I'll let you know how it goes. ~SLA

sarthur, what happened to you? i dont see a post after your treatment. how about an update?
I got my first treatment done on Thursday (8/1) and so far, so good. The shots themselves did not hurt but about the first hour after, they stung pretty good. Then the next 24 hours were pretty uncomfortable but not unbearable. I definitely needed the girdle the next morning, as every step I took without it was quite painful. I put the girdle on, went to a 2 hour hair appt and then took my daughter to a birthday party. When I got home, I took the girdle off and I was quite swollen but again, nothing unbearable. When I woke up on Saturday, most to the swelling was down, had very little bruising but no longer needed the girdle. The pain was basically gone unless I bump the areas. Sunday, I felt even better. I can't say anything about the results yet but some of the horrible experiences that I have read about on this site almost scared me into not doing it. I went to a plastic surgeon here in Houston and would highly recommend his office to anyone. Like I said, though, the first 24 hours are quite uncomfortable but I can't wait to get to start working out again tomorrow. They told me to come back once a week or every 2 weeks for treatments. I will probably opt for the every 2 weeks. Know that I did my homework and had 4 consultations at 4 different places before deciding on the place I went with. If you are considering this procedure, don't just sign on with the first place you go. Also, know that there are more options out there than just Fig. By the way, Fig quoted me $4000 for my upper and lower abs and loves. I am paying $1000 for 5 'agressive' treatments. Not that money was my deciding factor, but also the professionalism of the office and staff. I copied and pasted this from another section of this site as I wrote it right after my first treatment. I go this Thurs for my second treatment.
I went for my second treatment this past Thursday. I was injected with 5 syringes instead of the 3 like the first time. (I need to find out the exact amount of cc's that are in a syringe) I definitely could tell a difference in the pain within minutes of her being finished with the injections. The pain was so bad, I could barely breath but I managed to pay and make it to my car and within 30 minutes, that severe pain had subsided. (It was not near that bad the first time) By the time I got home, the injection spots still stung pretty good but the initial pain was gone. On Friday, the swelling was bad but not to bad and like the first time, I had maybe one or two dime size bruises. I didn't really feel up to anything on Friday so I just took it easy all day and wore the girdle. Saturday, pretty much back to normal...still some swelling but the pain had subsided. Took my daughter to gymnastics, went to the mall for a few hours and ran some errands, went out to eat and felt fine. Sunday, I was completely back to normal. I still haven't noticed any changes yet but I'm not getting discourage as I've only had two treatments and I'm only going on my third week. I hope that I am able to write a success story when this is all said and done. ~SLA
Hi there, I just wanted to check in on you and see how it was going? Seeing any promising changes yet? I've had to treatments so far and I don't see any changes. I realize it's still early but I so want this to work. Hope to hear back from you. ~SLA
Ugh, not looking forward to the swelling especially since it's the middle of summer. Starting to wonder if i should just wait till winter to do this. Going on a cruise in Oct and surely don't want to be swollen then. Did you have any bruising?
Yes I did go back and I did do loves. Swelling on the stomach wasn't so bad because this time they had given me 2 ice packs. My loves on the other hand are just about back to norm - but that's not really cool considering my next appt is Friday. I was in more pain than the first time because I think the loves were just so HUGE and it made all my clothes so much tighter.
FirstTreatment, Did you go back on Aug 3? Did you decide to do loves or just stick with the abs? How was the pain and swelling on that visit? Notice any difference yet? ~SLA
Just left from Realis Med Spa off 1960. Pretty nice place, very informative nurse and she stated that the dr will prescribe something for neasau and dorvoset after the first appt if needed. Total cost for my 3 areas at Realis....$1,500.
oh, I see it now - well no I didn't want to post how much I spent - so I just put in a generic #.
Can you share the amount you spent? we use your reported amount spent to calculate an average price for Lipodissolve. Even a closer value to actual is appreciated over the generic amount. Thank you, Tom, RealSelf.com
It's at the very top.
Where did I write that at? I probably was just throwing out a generic #.
Lovin it, Dr Bergerson quoted me $1000 for my upper and lower abs and $1000 for my loves. Here and at Fig I was told that I would come in every 2 weeks for treatments. Why do you have to wait so long between yours? FirstTreatment, did you really pay a $100 or was that a typo??? I have an appt Friday with Realis and an appt next Thurs with Houston Med Spa. I may reschedule with Sona Med Spa too. ~SLA
Went for my consultation with Dr Bergeron today. He wasn't there so another lady spoke to me about it. She didn't offer as much info as Fig did about maintenance or those sort of things but she did say it would be $2000 and asked when would I like to make my first appt. I was in and out in about 10 mintues. Even though I've read a ton about this procedure, it would nice if the place I decide on would offer all that info upfront. That did not happen today. Maybe if the dr would have been in, it would have been different. Anyway, I've decided that I've waited this long, that I can wait a little longer and I'm going to check out a few more places. I've got another consultation on Thurs for a place out on 1960 and Fallbrook which is closer to where I live. Realis is the name I believe. I'm also going to call the Houston Med Spa as well which is also right near Realis. I may even rebook my appt at Sona Med Spa. I'm not sure exactly why I feel the need to shop around per-say. Maybe a 'super' nice staff and a good price. I just haven't been won over by the two places I've been. I would pay the $2000 but I just wasn't impressed with the lady I talked to today. Anyway, I'll keep every one updated with my shopping ventures just in case anyone is interested in my findings. ~SLA
Lovin It - did you change your diet? Did you start exercising? What are your measurements? Just wondering - we are all trying to compare results and etc.
sarthur - I think what Lovin It is trying to say is that her treatments are all done and now she is the waiting period before she goes back to take final measurments and pictures. Then they will decide together wether or not she is satisfied or if she wants to do another treatment or not. I got my love handles done for the first time on Friday along with my second treatment for lower abs. BOY was I swollen - uuugh.. My right love handle is still swollen but the rest of me has pretty much laid back down. I'll update ya'll later during lunch. I wish we had just a houston board to. Maybe someone can surf around the site and see if we can do this? I'll look during lunch k?
That was one thing that I thought of after I had left that I wish I would have asked one of the women there if I could see their results. The left me know up front that they had all had the procedure but I was quite nervous and it didn't cross my mind at the time to ask. They were nice at the Sugar Land office too but not so much that I was sold on them. If they were the only ones doing this procedure, I would probably go with them just because I wouldn't have any other options but since there are other options out there, I'm willing to check them out. Lovin it, like you, I'm glad I found this site. I wish there was a place for people only from Houston could post so we could chat. Why do you have to wait 2 months before going back? They told me I could come in every 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to my appt with Dr Bergeron on Monday. Check out his website if you have a chance. Skin and Laser Vein of Houston. Keeps us updated. ~SLA

I sure am glad I got courious and found this site. I would like to share my experiences, I have been at the fig in the Galleria since they started here in Houston. I love the friendly staff and I trust them. I have had 6 injections to my upper and lower abdomen. They told be that I would need to wait for two months before coming back. I am seeing the results. When I went in for the first time I spoke to a lady who actually showed me her before pictures and them lifted up her shirt. It was amazing. I am telling all of my friends. In comment to your concerns about amount of treatment and reactions, ask the staff. They are all VERY educated. I drilled them with questions at the start and they took all the time to help calm my nerves. Now I go in and out in 20-30 min TOPS. It truly is "lunchtime lipo" I will keep you updated...
well isn't that sweet they can just knock off $2K just like that huh?
