Crunches!!!

Saw the doctor on Wed and he said my lower abdomen muscles need to be tighter so that it doesn't allow the fat underneath to push out because that's what my 'pouch' is. Instead of feeling a little disappointed (I am), I'm taking this as motivation to further continue exercising. Everyday I will commit to 150 crunches. So far, I did it for the last two days. I know I need to lose about 7 more lbs. It's really hard but I can do it. I will feel and look so much better at 125.

Post Op 5 Weeks - Still Swelling

Can't believe I'm in 5 weeks post op already. The body is feeling more and more normal though I still feel sore and achy after sitting too long or when I wake up in the morning. I started walking again and doing light cardio exercises. I still feel very bloated by the end of the day. I still have a little pouch in the lower abdomen area that I think it's due to swelling. I can't wait (and hoping) when the swelling goes away and I see the real results. I have to admit that a part of me is scare to find out if the result I see in the morning is what the end result will be. I don't think so from talking to the doctor who reminded me to give it up to 1 year for best results. I'm also trying to lose another 7 lbs so hopefully that'll further help with the end result. I don't expect a flat, flat tummy, but I hate the lower abdomen part where it protrudes out. I know everyone's body is different, but it's hard not to wonder how most of the pictures we see on this site shows women with very flat tummy after tummy tuck and at 5 weeks, mine still looks the same. :(

So happy I decided on getting the BA! I wasn't thinking about doing it, but so glad to get it done. They look and feel natural and I think gives me the balanced and hourglass figure.

It's nice to have my husband remind me how good I look now. I also do feel so much better in clothes and am able to fit into a lot of my old clothes that I saved pre-baby days.

Patience, patience, patience.

Here are some before and after pictures including one of me in my workout outfit. Picture was taken at night so I'm extremely bloated.

Post Op - 3 Weeks Pics

It's been a little over 3 weeks since op day. Overall, I'm feeling good. My body is still sore, especially after I wake up or after sitting for awhile. In week 2, the areas around the incisions were so itchy due to flaky skin and I guess recovery, but now that's mostly gone except where the two drains were. You can see in the picture the rash I had from the tape and just scratching.

I'm experiencing extreme tenderness, sharp, nerve pains on my right nipple. Didn't realize this until after research that it's actually quite common. So I put a 'patch' on the nipples so they don't rub against the bra as much and they feel much better when contained. That's why you see a patch in the picture. I read one of the doctor's answers to the Q&A that if you squeeze where it's tender, it'll feel better. I started doing that two days ago and it's a little less sensitive today. I hear it can last as long as 3-6 months for most people. I hope mine won't last that long and it'll go away soon!

For awhile, I questioned why my results weren't as flat as some of the pictures I've seen from others, but I have to keep reminding myself that one, I have to be patient as I recover and hopefully bloat less and two, that I had a lot more fat that others even by the time I went into surgery (I was not at my ideal weight, but I didn't want to wait and hoping the MM kick starts a brand new, healthier lifestyle). I did lost about 8 lbs, but really should lose another 5-10 lbs. You can tell from my pictures where it bulges out. I think the doctor did everything he can within safety for muscle repair and tummy tuck. What I have is probably fat (he doesn't do lipo and TT togher because it's "dangerous" and I trust his judgement). I think if I lose another 5-10 lbs, I'll look great.

I went into this surgery not expecting perfection, only wanting to look better and when I look at the pictures, I look a lot better now than pre-op. What's exciting is that there were clothes I had put away before I had kids because I couldn't look good in them with my fat tummy, but I wore them this past week and feeling pretty good about how I look. What do you all think of my results thus far? At what point post op did you feel you finally obtained the ideal results you were expecting?

Dr. Fazilat is really friendly and straightforward which I like. When I met him for the first time, he made me feel really comfortable as we discussed what I want and need. After I met him, I still had questions and some reservations about result and risk factors which I shared with his office manager. He called me after he heard from his office manager my concerns and spent a good amount of time answering all my questions and making me feel confident with my decision.
