Hi. i ended 4 months & 1 wk treatment with accutane & it's good, my face improved except 4 acne marks.. am taking 20mg twice daily & weighted 73kg .. my dermatologist tell me he might stop it in the coming few dayz .. the thng that am so concerned -if i stop it now- to have a much much worse acne afterwards; considering the dose i am taking -i read that it should be 1 mg/kg/day -& the fact that i had a really bad pimple few dayz ago. and to be honest i dn't trust my dermatologist !! he gave me the meds. without saying a word..
i am a newly graduated doctor & looked myself 4 the precautions, side effects ...etc & there's no other dermatologist in the area.
and another thing .. does accutane has anythng to do with anal fissures ?? i read that it may predispose for IBD .. so i am so concerned about crohn's!! so i have to check??!
Any advice ?

Hi Rumber,
Welcome to the Accutane community. I looked through our doctor Q&A and someone had already asked your question of, Will Acne Return if I Stop Taking Accutane, so you might want to check out the doctors answers. There was no info about anal fissures, that is something you might want to mention to your doctor as I have not seen it mentioned by other community members. Since you "don't trust your dermatologist" you might consider going and seeing a different one, to whom you would feel more comfortable with. Hope this info helps, please keep us updated.
